Chi siamo
Ecosmic is an Italian-Dutch startup with the goal to transform space into a sustainable and cost-effective industry. Our mission is to provide modular, innovative, and seamlessly integrable solutions for space operators, enabling them to maximize the effectiveness of their missions. The first challenge that we are solving is space traffic management: with our product SAFE, we enhance the safety of space by offering a service that generates alerts whenever a satellite is at risk of colliding with another satellite or debris. At Ecosmic, we are committed to upcycling space technology, ensuring a cleaner and more efficient use of the orbital environment.

As an engineer with a curious mind, I often find myself geeking out in my free time... This past weekend, I dove deep into exploring space debris mitigation policies and guidelines at a national level. However, I couldn’t find a clear, easily accessible resource to make sense of it all. So, I took matters into my own hands and created a map to visualize where different countries stand on this crucial issue – check it out below! The dream? To eventually host this on www.ecosmic.space, where users could hover over each country to access links to their specific space debris policies and guidelines. I also plan to include relevant standards from agencies and industry coalitions. Here’s what I’ve mapped out so far: 🌍 Countries that address space debris mitigation in their national law or that require their satellite operators and launch service providers to adhere to specific space debris mitigation standards 🌍 Countries that are signatories or supporters of good practices 🌍 Countries that have yet to take action on space sustainability or whose position on the issue is unknown to me at the time of this post I’d love to tap into the collective knowledge of this community! If you have any input, think a country is misrepresented, or have suggestions for improving this project, I’d be grateful for your feedback 🦾 Main source: UN Compendium of SDM standards ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gTCqJdVu #SpaceDebris #SpaceSustainability #SpacePolicy #SpaceTech #Engineering #SpaceInnovation #SpaceCommunity

Remember all the open positions we shared a while ago? Well, here are the faces that just joined the tribe, and they’re already rocking it! 👀 🌟 Carolina Ghiozzi - Sales & Biz Dev A true powerhouse, Carolina blends the resilience of Robert Neville from I Am Legend with the coolness of Miranda Presley. She studied international relations with a major in law, and has worked at the Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri and the United Nations. She’s ready to lead us into new unexplored territories (and beat all the alligators we’ll meet in Florida, at SpaceCom). 🏔 Francesca Andreoli - Satellite Operations Expert An explorer at heart, Francesca is always looking for the next hike, marathon, and every challenge that comes her way — whether it’s on the ground or in orbit. She studied space engineering, and has built an impressive track record between ispace, inc., European Space Agency - ESA, and Eutelsat OneWeb. She's really taking our satellite operations to new heights. 🐐 Martina Tasca - Head of People Martina is a human encyclopedia when it comes to animals. She studied work psychology between Turin, Valencia, and Coimbra, and worked at Bvlgari. Did you know that she has a goat as a personal pet? Maybe that's why she’s the GOAT of HR. Now, let’s all give them a big Ecosmic welcome (we’re sure that one day that goat will join in too)!
