ToT Game of Change is on! 🚀 Until next Friday, Train-the-Trainer (ToT) is taking place in Graz, Austria. 📆 As a partner, Learningdigital is present and very well represented by our CEO, Stefano Tirati and colleagues Pedro C. and Joana Silva! The week-long intensive seminar has already kicked off, bringing together around 20 team members from partner organisations across Europe for moments of welcome, exchanges of ideas, and an initial immersion experience in Game of Change's innovative methodology. The group also exchanged valuable insights into Otto Scharmer's Theory U, a powerful approach to breaking ineffective behaviour patterns, encouraging empathy and facilitating more conscious and effective decision-making. This theory has been widely used by political leaders, civil servants and managers to overcome complex challenges and create innovative solutions - and, of course, it features in our card game for the project. 🌟 What else is going on here: 👨💻 Deep dive into the Game of Change: exploring the fundamental principles, methodologies and practical applications of the approach. Practical experimentation with the project's newly developed materials, including collaborative feedback for their final versions. 👩🏫 Certification of trainers: preparing participants to apply the Game of Change independently in their organisations and communities. 💬 Connecting and exchanging practices: strengthening the network of project facilitators by building even stronger partnerships. Another fantastic WAMbinar! 🚀 Last Friday 22nd, the World Alliance for Microcredentials Foundation organised another edition of the WAMbinars, unique moments of exchange and collective construction of the present and future of vocational training through microcredentials (MCs). 🔖 This time, the event explored the experiences of the pioneers of microcredentials. Our guest was Dr Phil Ker, ONZM, who shared valuable insights into New Zealand's pioneering efforts to integrate MCs into the country's National Qualifications Framework. He talked about how the first microcredential was launched in 2017 at Otago Polytechnic | Te Pūkenga and, in his presentation, brought up many highlights regarding these certifications. Some of them were: ✨ Advantages of MCs, such as just-in-time learning and credentials, faster and cheaper development, and a solution to the backlog in training people for emerging skill sets. 🧑💻👩💻 The benefits for learners, like being able to validate current knowledge and skills, including transferable skills, having more access to qualifications, and the possibility that this can be done in the workplace and/or through a variety of sources, among others. He explained the details of the Edubits microcredentialing service, launched in New Zealand in 2018 to validate skill sets and knowledge developed through experience or through new learning. 💡 Finally, he shared his summary of the conditions needed to create a successful microcredentialing service: simplicity of process, stackability by design, light-touch accreditation, and an integrated qualification portfolio approach. 🧭 See you at the next WAMbinar in January, which will explore Microcredentials in Canada in an indigenous college setting! Today's #tbt is about the participation of VET2Sustain project members in the International Days Event of Vocational Education and Training in Lahti, Finland! Interactive and engaging games: Game On Level Up! 🚀🚀🚀 These are some pictures of the distribution and promotion of the Game On Level Up project and Kiipulasäätiö's Goodlife game at Hämeenlinnan kaupunki - The City of Hämeenlinna partner house and Setlementti. The Goodlife game was presented to the Finnish language group ‘Learn creatively Finnish’ and includes the game ‘Äääniässä’, which can be played on the computer and allows the study of languages in an experimental way, using the computer or virtual reality glasses. The game can also be easily adapted to any language. Very interesting, isn't it? 😃 ⏩⏭ The Game on-Level up! project, in which Learningdigital is a proud partner, focuses on improving and developing the teaching team's pedagogical gamification skills through new digital technologies, especially VR and immersive technologies. 🙋♀️ EmpowerAI: mapping women entrepreneurs & first results! In August and September, we reached a significant milestone in the EmpowerAI project. 100 female entrepreneurs from sectors dominated by women responded to our EmpowerAI Compendium - Digital Database, an innovative online questionnaire developed by p-consulting. The survey explored how women entrepreneurs are using AI tools in their businesses, complemented by 10 in-depth personal interviews conducted in partner countries. 👩💻 This dual approach allowed us to collect both quantitative and qualitative data, providing a solid basis for impactful case studies. 👊 Check out the summary of the results, which include significant advances in the presence of #women in #entrepreneurship, but also show many #challenges they face, such as limited #access to finance, #smaller women-led businesses concentrated in #specific #sectors, as well as #economic #hardship and traditional #gender #roles. Do it! 🪄👊💪 This was the title of the MMH - MICOO Microcredentials Mini Hackathon given by our CEO and founder - and also Advisory Board Member of the World Alliance for Microcredentials Foundation, Stefano Tirati, during ePIC2024 - the 22nd International Conference on Open Learning and Recognition Practices, Technologies and Policies, which took place in Paris from 6 to 8 November. The MMH was an engaging and fun time, with the creation of microcredentials during the session with the MICOO platform! 💻📲 And it was truly epic to take part in such a relevant event that welcomed participants and speakers from all continents and backgrounds to explore all the dimensions of the emerging open recognition culture and practices. Marking a significant step forward, ePIC 2024 brought together key stakeholders from civil society and territories, enterprises, and public authorities. This milestone reflects the maturity of discussions around recognition practices, technologies, and policies, which have been ongoing and evolved since 2003. ➡ Paris Declaration on Equality of Recognition Practices Also, during the ePIC Conference, Stefano signed the Paris Declaration on Equality of Recognition Practices with other authorities, which postulates the equality of recognition practices: just as informal learning is not an inferior form of learning, informal recognition is not an inferior form of recognition. 📚 ⏩ The declaration emphasises points such as: 🙋♂️Recognition is a fundamental human practice 👨🏫'Everyone has the power to recognise 👋 The act of recognising is a potentially emancipatory act 🩵 Trust is intrinsic to recognition ✍️ Recognition is an ethic 👥 The act of recognising is a social act 👤 Recognition has an individual and collective impact Thank you to everyone who shared this moment of great expertise, exchange and the creation of many microcredentials!
