What a journey the #TTeC has been for us! 🎢 We participated in the first edition of the T-TeC back in 2022, and even though SunCubes had just been born, we secured third place! ☀️🧊 In 2023, we joined the competition again, #inspired by our amazing experience the previous year. And... we won the Test-IT awards! This allowed us to launch a Proof of Concept, which led to a testing campaign for our product, SunCubes Lucy. This year, in 2024, we’re participating in the T-TeC again, but this time in a different role... Yesterday, at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology - Politecnico di Milano offices of Politecnico di Milano, we shared our journey with potential future T-TeC participants. We talked about how SunCubes has grown over the years, thanks in part to the incredible opportunities this competition has opened for us and the support provided by Telespazio. 🎙 So, to everyone thinking about taking part in the competition: if you have an idea, nurture it and take the plunge—you could be the #innovators of the #future! 💡🍀 From all of us at SunCubes, big good luck to future participants: we can’t wait to discover the ground-breaking #projects of this year’s edition! 🍀 A special thanks to Stefano Beco for inviting us to yesterday’s meeting—it was a true pleasure to share our story with T-TeC!

Stage Two, we know you are amazing…but you definitely exeeded our expectations!😍🚀 Last week we had the incredible opportunity to be part of the Stage Two competition thanks to the nomination from Politecnico di Milano and PoliHub - Innovation Park & Startup Accelerator to whom we are extremely grateful for their constant support and champion towards SunCubes. ☀️🧊 It was an incredible gathering: dozens of startups coming from so many different countries…we can say that was definitely the European capital of #innovation!🌍 We also would like to congratulate to the winning startups: listening to your #groundbreaking ideas was very much inspiring, we wish you good luck for your future!🍀🤞🏻

I spent last Thursday at Stage Two — an annual spinout event in Berlin that brings together academic founders, VCs and industry folk. On the positive side for European tech: we have some of the smartest people in the world building really cool companies based on deep, hard science.   On the less positive side: there’s still a lot of work to do to normalise entrepreneurship as a career path for academics — we also need more people who know how to sell highly technical products to customers once research has been spun out. 🗞️ I wrote up my takeaways in this morning's Sifted Daily newsletter. IAC2024 - time to take off- the end!☀️🧊 Just had time to process all the awesome things that happened to us in the last week: it was an incredible experience meeting all the people who visited us at our stand, whether you were a new face or a loyal supporter who championed SunCubes since day one. The IAC is that one-in-a-year opportunity to meet new people, talk to people, and overall share insights: we are now used to online video calls, but it’s always energizing to shake hands for the first time with the people you usually see behind the screen.🤝🏻🔋 We are grateful to ITA - Italian Trade Agency for giving us your opportunity to have our booth. It was a great experience to showcase our newest #product, SunCubes Lucy, which is currently under development!
