"In order for the imagination to flourish, a person needs to feel safe, relaxed, connected to other people, be nourished with good food, surrounded by hopeful narratives of the future, invited into what-if spaces, exposed to art in all its forms, not feel under surveillance or time-pressured, in as equal a society as possible, able to make meaningful contributions and exposed to nature as often as possible in their daily lives." - Rob Hopkins What if we intentionally hold space for (un)learning, remembering and grounding our innate ability to live as a life-aligned species? What if we showed up to our jobs, businesses and lives in ways that steward life on earth? It’s not just about building old & new capacities, it’s about rethinking how we do business, and how we show up for life on Earth. As the world moves towards more sustainable business models, this gathering offers you the chance to get in tune with the principles of living systems— how life naturally works— and bring that into your professional life. We are excited to share this year's Taste The Shift program with all of you. All reflections, questions, doubts and hopes are encouraged and met with open arms. I'd love to hear from you and to welcome you at Taste The Shift this April.🫶 Together, we’ll (un)learn business-as-usual, explore alternative lenses and enhance our capacities needed to support a future where business and wider nature go hand in hand. This is about creating lasting change; for ourselves, our work, and life on Earth. You access the further readings via the links in the comments 👇 We have written three articles sharing our reflections on the questions, beliefs and lenses shaping Taste The Shift. #regeneration #business #sustainability #facilitation #systemschange

How do you imagine a playground where professionals can rediscover the joy of caring for self, community and Earth? 🫶 This is a question we constantly ask ourselves when we are shaping the program of Taste The Shift. In a society shaped by rules and expectations misaligned with the rhythms of nature, it's hard to find places to discover how you truly want to be and show up in this world. This is exactly the kind of place we are seeking to create with the Taste The Shift Program. She is shaped by five realms; Methodology/Mindset, Place/Environment, Community, Ancestral and Embodiment. It is through these key areas's we will explore the regenerative lens, gain a shared understanding and enhance our individual and collective capacities to regenerate life through business & beyond. 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 / 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭 We foster a creative, and interactive approach to deepen our understanding of regenerative wisdoms and the science supporting the evolving field - grounded in living systems and regenerative business approaches. 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 /𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 Grounded in living principles (how nature works) we will explore stories of respect, care and reciprocity. Looking at how regenerative stewards bring their connection to place into their work. Incorporating permaculture design techniques within their organizations, moving beyond the conventional ideas of 'sustainability'. 𝐀𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐬 Together we (un)learn from alternative stories and life compasses of our own. Broadening our perspective to find other ways to navigate a rapidly changing world longing for the creation of new and remembering of old stories. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 Through intentional relating, we connect and align our journeys. Work collectivity to explore the complexity of regenerative business. Widen our networks and hold a shared space to explore this business transition together. 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 You will enter a carefully held space for reconnection to our embodied essence, through Art, Food, Play and Movement. To remember who we are in our core being, deepen how we relate to the wider world and explore how we can ground our life-aligned-decision compass in ourselves and our communities. "For me, this “decision-making compass” is ethereal. It’s not a tool; it’s a coming home, not on a surface level, but on every level. It represents something deeply complex, unquantifiable, and immeasurable, a pursuit without form. And yet, this diagram, in being “a tool,” feels like a balm to the logical part of my brain. It translates something deeply interconnected and nonlinear into a shape my mind can hold, at least momentarily. It reassures me, reminding me that even if logic alone cannot comprehend my purpose, I am, in fact, on the right path. It reminds me to keep remembering, to bring others along, and to let them guide me in return. Together, we can leave this paradigm behind for a wilder one that calls to us a world that flows, cycles, takes away and gives back. A world brimming with life. A world as natural as the tides. This then begs the next question: if I can hold space for you and, in return, you hold space for me, we create change through reciprocity. So, in seeing this to be true, it asks again, what other gifts can I pass on, and in doing so, what will I receive in return?" • In times of crisis, let’s be glaciers; few living beings have more of a balancing impact on Earth’s systems than the slow cyclical growth and decay of glaciers. The illusion that we can "fix" the meta-crisis with KPIs, hollow goals, and technological innovations is a dangerous lullaby. Facing and transcending our society's unsustainable and toxic state isn't about knowing, innovating, or setting goals. On the contrary, it's an invitation from Mother Earth to humanity. It is an invitation to embrace uncertainty, be humble, slow down, and reconnect to ourselves, each other, our essence, and the beautiful living systems we are so deeply intertwined with. It's a cyclical journey of arriving. A journey for which we can intentionally hold space, together! Taste The Shift is born from the realization that there is a need for space holding and grounding in a community setting. • "This is the heart of Taste The Shift. It’s a space we longed for when we first stepped into the world of Systems Surfing. A world full of complexity, nuance, and uncertainty. It’s like tango dancing—we must first learn to listen to the rhythm before we attempt to "perfect" the steps. Together, we’ve built a space to do just that: a dance floor set in a woodland playground. This isn’t a space where you’ll be told how to regenerate or taught a perfect method. It’s a space where you’re invited to explore, play, hold, and be held in the process of becoming. We hope you’ll join us. I hope you, too, can hold space and take the time to meet us in this woodland playground.
