AATF is participating in the Kenya Seed Business Summit currently taking place from 16- 20 December 2024 at the Eka Hotel, Eldoret in Uasin Gishu County. AATF is represented by Dr. Daniel Kyalo Willy and Munyaradzi Jonga at the conference, whose theme is "Building a Harmonised Roadmap for Seed Sector Transformation". Dr. Daniel Kyalo Willy who was facilitating the session, was keen to note: "The seed roadmap that we are developing for Kenya is a strategic policy document that will guide policy makers and seed sector stakeholders to drive reforms in the seed sector and enhance access to Quality Seeds by farmers." #AATFAfrica #ProsperitythroughTechnology #ScalingforImpact

Here are some insights from the panels on „Innovation and Technology Solutions for Sustainable Food and Water Systems“ hosted by RTI International, Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO), AATF, and Solinftec at the COP Resilience Hub at COP29 Azerbaijan. Both, in technological innovation, as well as in policy for funding it is crucial to design and cater to the the local context. This allows that investments are consequently serving the local stakeholders and ecosystems. Research is responsible for delivering solid, accessible, and trustable data to inform policies.  Important to keep in mind, both in innovation and policy-making, are how affordable and accessible resources are to the grassroots and small-scale farmers.
