Our program manager, Peace Musonge, presented updates from the REAL-Water Assurance Fund program in Nakuru County during a quarterly coordination meeting for the water sector. In attendance were representatives from: 💧 The County Government of Nakuru, Department of Water, Environment, Energy, Climate Change and Natural Resources. 💧 All water utilities in Nakuru County, i.e., Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services Company, Nakuru Rural Water and Sanitation Company (NARUWASCO), and Naivasha Water and Sanitation Company. 💧 Other partners in the WASH sector in Nakuru county. Nakuru County is among the three counties in Kenya where USAID REAL-Water is evaluating the effectiveness of the #AssuranceFund. So far, 21 NARUWASCO systems have been enrolled in the program, which enables established urban laboratories to provide water quality testing services to rural water systems.
