At the Parents Awareness Workshop in Nairobi, teachers, parents, and Deaf community leaders came together to foster stronger connections for deaf children. Georgine Auma, Director of Studio KSL, shared her journey of becoming deaf at age nine, urging parents to embrace sign language as the foundation for inclusion and connection. Through open discussions, parents dispelled harmful myths and became advocates for their children’s unique journeys.
