From October 1st to October 10th 2024, Rhea had the pleasure of participating at the Delta40 Venture Studio AgTech Innovation Basecamp and Scale Summit. The Basecamp brought together 33 early-stage ag and food-tech entrepreneurs from across Africa to workshop their product, develop new business models and partnerships, & raise capital to grow. The cumulation of the Basecamp was the Scale Summit, convening the most important actors in the ag space globally and across East Africa, including scaled ventures, investors, corporates, policy makers and ecosystem actors. Rhea's Co-Founder, Soinato Leboo, participated on the panel 'Innovation in Ag- and Food-Tech Across Africa' alongside her impressive co-panelists, Eli Pollak from Apollo Agriculture, Uka Eje from ThriveAgric, Marcela A. Mendoza Suárez from SymbioMatch, and Otaigo Elisha (Msc, Bsc ) from NovFeed. Soinato Leboo also participated in the AgTech Innovation Basecamp Pitch Competition, winning Rhea a spot in the top 5 start-ups winners of the competition. The 10 days were incredibly eye opening, allowing Rhea to foster strong relationships with potential partners, investors, and stakeholders across the agtech ecosystem. With the relationships built and knowledge gained, Rhea is ready for the next level of growth🚀. A special thank you to Lyndsay Holley Handler and the amazing team Delta40 Venture Studio whose hard work made the event possible. And to Novo Nordisk Foundation and BioInnovation Institute for investing in the next generation of agtech start-ups to transform Africa's agriculture space! 🌱 Andrew Julius Bende Flemming Konradsen Afton Halloran, PhD Tyler Karahalios Sidee Dlamini Allan & Gill Gray Philanthropies Jasiri4Africa
