Welcome to the International Maritime Academy of Lebanon, the first private academy in Lebanon accredited by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, offering high level courses and professional training, supported with cutting edge simulation technology. Conveniently located in Jounieh, Lebanon, the IMA creates opportunities to everyone with a thirst for adventure for the open seas or with the desire to make a change in their career path, on a local or international scale. The International Maritime Academy aims to enhance the Maritime culture and the Great Sea image in Lebanon, embedded in us though our Phoenician ancestry. We educate people on maritime safety, promote tourism, while enlarging the career spectrum of the Lebanese population through creating new, diversified and international career prospects. As a pioneer in Lebanon and in the region, the IMA is carving the way to unprecedented opportunities for individuals as well as the corporate and academic world, while boosting along the way the overall socio-economic status of the country. “We pride ourselves in our Phoenician legacy” The Phoenicians sailed far and wide, even beyond the Mediterranean’s traditional safe limits of the Pillars of Hercules and into the Atlantic, driven by their desire for trade. They were credited with many important nautical inventions and firmly established a reputation as the greatest mariners in the ancient world. Using our Phoenician Heritage, the IMA wishes to bring back the sailing culture to its shores and to re-initiate its population to the love for the open sea and its limitless possibilities.

Including 5 certified courses: ~Elementary First Aid ~Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting ~Personal Survival Techniques ~Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities ~Security Awareness Training for all seafarers This training was not only fascinating but also incredibly valuable for my role as a private butler.
