Delivering hope and care to Ras Baalbek In coordination with the Logistics Cluster our teams from Beirut sent 2 trucks loaded with essential medicines, hygiene kits and food boxes to our teams in Ras Baalbek, a region nearly besieged by shellings, and home to thousands of displaced families. Thanks to the support of the Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office) Germany and in partnership with Malteser International, the Order of Malta Lebanon continues its mission in the most remote areas to serve the most vulnerable communities, ensuring they receive the healthcare and supplies they need. This mission is a testament to resilience, solidarity, and cooperation. Order of Malta

From the Southern borders to Beirut, our Yaroun Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) stands by those who need us most. The elderly from the south, many of whom once lived alone, now bear both the physical toll of displacement and the emotional weight of fear—of being left without a home, of facing an uncertain future. We have not forgotten them. Our team is dedicated to providing essential care and support, ensuring they feel safe, heard, and valued. On a brief visit to Lebanon on November 4th, German Development Minister Mrs. Svenja Schulze visited a collective shelter in the vicinity of the Order of Malta Lebanon’s Community Health Center in Zouk Mikael. Minister Schulze saw firsthand how the public school was converted into a shelter and how the Order is supporting the needs of internally displaced persons in a holistic approach: from nutrition and food security through the Mobile Community Kitchen to comprehensive healthcare via the Mobile Medical Unit, alongside mental health, winterization and hygiene kits distributions, awareness programs, and psychosocial support. This visit allowed the Federal Minister to hear personal testimonials from displaced individuals sharing their journeys, challenges, and hopes. These initiatives are funded by the federal ministry for development and economic cooperation Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German Foreign Office Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office) Germany with support from our partner Malteser International.

Our deepest gratitude to the Sovereign Order of Malta for their generous donation of vital Winterization Supplies and to the Italian Armed Forces for providing the shipment. This aid will be dispensed to displaced populations thanks to the Lebanese Armed Forces, in the framework of our partnership.
The #OrderofMalta has concluded the delivery of four tons of humanitarian aid to the Lebanese population affected by the ongoing conflict in the region. This is the first shipment of humanitarian aid from Italy to #Lebanon and a concrete sign of the Order’s humanitarian commitment in Lebanon and the Middle East. The initiative - organised by the Order of Malta - included the delivery of blankets, clothes and basic necessities to deal with the emergency through two shipments of 2 tons each, the first on 24 October and the second on 30 October through the Italian Air Force’s flights. ‘Thanks to its neutrality and impartiality, the Order provides assistance globally, even in the most difficult circumstances, such as in Lebanon and Gaza. Our leadership for peace is manifested not only in words but, above all, in deeds,’ expressed the Grand Chancellor Riccardo Paternò di Montecupo. Order Of Malta Lebanon https://lnkd.in/dcYJrvJM

Before the war, they were individuals and families, living independently and planning for the future. Their children played, studied, and looked forward to brighter days. Now, their lives have been disrupted. The Order of Malta Lebanon is focused on helping these internally displaced families and individuals rebuild, providing essential support to help them regain stability. Order of Malta
