It was such a colorful ceremony as we witnessed the graduation ceremony of rural women who have completed basic literacy and numeracy skills training. These are essential skills needed to improve women's confidence and access to livelihood. These women are resilient and has strong will power to become the very best version of themselves 💪. It is the festive season and it's a big deal in Liberia. Especially Christmas Day! During this time, people cook special and delicious meals, buy new things especially clothes for their kids and themselves to wear on that day. Most times due to financial constraints, parents are unable to do this ritual. Today, we joined the #Weareunprotectedcampaign and Sister AID Liberia INC to climax the 16 days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence against women and girls. We shared stories of our struggles as women and lighted candles in memories of survivors and those who lost their lives to Gender-based violence. Sister AID Liberia screened a video documentary of women's struggle for political participation in Liberia. Let's unite to end violence against women and girls. #16DaysOfActivism

We are participating in the National Agriculture Trade Fair. Not just attending but, WASUDEV is a member of the Mobilization and the Resolution committees. Our goal of taking on these roles is to ensure the effective inclusion of women farmers issues. Today, the farmers Conference was held. During the conference, critical issues concerning farmers were discussed and a great resolution was drafted. We also made some sales 💃 💃 Please come out tomorrow to support our organisation. In an effort to boost food security and good dietary practices among farmers, US Exchange Alumni Hawa Dunor-Varney, Emmanuel Williams and Dr. Joseph Saysay in collaboration with the Women in Agriculture for Sustainable Development; with support from the U.S. Department of State Department ; under the Alumni Exchange Innovation Fund (AEIF) conducted training workshop for over 75 smallholder farmers in Suakoko, Bong County. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This workshop is an activity of the project focusing on climate smart agriculture for Sustainable and Nutritious food system for Liberians. We are glad to be participating in the National Climate Justice Summit in Liberia. Stakeholders in Liberia are meeting to discuss the climate crisis and its inequalities. Climate change affects men and women differently.
