⚓ A growing number of companies in the Port of Riga are producing and using green energy 🔋🍃 📌 Another solar panel park, the third in the Port of Riga, commissioned this autumn ✅ WT Terminal - 480 solar panels with a total capacity of 220.8 KW installed on the roof of the company's warehouse 📌 One of WT Terminal business areas is the processing of sawn timber (drying, sorting, packaging). These are quite energy-intensive processes. The energy produced by the company will contribute to cost savings and make the company less dependent on fluctuations in the electricity market 📈💡 📌 Towards a greener course, an innovative electricity-powered hydraulic crane is to be installed on the terminal's quays next year ➡️ More on the company's plans for sustainability: https://bit.ly/3YCpxUy 📸 Jēkabs Vilkārsis

🍂 FAM TRIP TO RIGA: FROM ART NOUVEAU TO CULINARY DELIGHTS AND 5D THRILLS! 🥗 Our Baltic Fam Trip Autumn edition has just kicked off in the Latvian capital, Riga. We began with a walking tour through Riga’s stunning Art Nouveau district and charming Old Town – A UNESCO World Heritage Site. We continued to one of Europe’s largest food markets, Central Market, located in old Zeppelin hangars, savoring local specialties 😋 After a delightful lunch at Restaurant Kolonade, we inspected the cruise ship berths at the Passenger Terminal. The excitement continued with a thrilling 5D cinema adventure “flying” over Riga. The day ended with a wonderful dinner at Gutenbergs Terase, resting our legs after a day of walking in the city where everything is nearby. Jelena Burdastova from the Freeport of Riga said: “We were truly honored to host so many cruise line representatives from all our key target markets here in Riga! This was the perfect opportunity to showcase the advanced infrastructure of the Freeport of Riga and the unique offerings of our city. A huge thanks to Cruise Baltic for facilitating this chance to strengthen partnerships and shape the future of cruising in the Baltic Sea!” 🛳️ We hope our cruise line guests left inspired and ready to enhance their itineraries with the wonders of Riga.
