Patrick Bellew, 1st Baron Bellew of Barmeath was born on 29 January 1798 at London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Bellew, 6th Bt. and Mary Anne Strange.1 He married Anna Fermina de Mendoza, daughter of Admiral Don José Maria de Mendoza y Rios, on 19 January 1829 at The Manor House, Bathampton, Somerset, EnglandG.1 He died on 10 December 1866 at age 68 at Barmeath, County Louth, IrelandG.1
He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Bellew, of Barmeath, co. Louth [I., 1688] on 15 March 1827.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Louth in 1831.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for County Louth between 1831 and 1832.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of County Louth between 1831 and 1866.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
