Reverend George Rawlinson was born on 23 November 1812.2 He was the son of Abram Tyack Rawlinson and Eliza Eudocia Albinia Creswicke.1,2 He married Louisa Wildman Chermside, daughter of Sir Robert Alexander Chermside, on 6 July 1846.2 He died on 6 October 1902 at age 89.2
He was a historian.1 He wrote the book Herodotus, published 1858.2 He was Camden Professor of Ancient History between 1861 and 1888 at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He was Proctor in Convocation for Dean and Chapter of Canterbury between 1873 and 1898.2 He held the office of Canon of Canterbury.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)2

Margarette Kennard Greenfield was the daughter of William Bunce Greenfield and Mary Jane Kennard.1 She married Sir Alfred Rawlinson, 3rd Bt., son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Creswicke Rawlinson, 1st Bt. and Louisa Caroline Harcourt Seymour, on 25 June 1890.1 She died on 18 September 1907.2
