     Mary Ward Davenport was born on 18 January 1837.3 She was the daughter of John Davenport and Charlotte Coltman.2,3 She married Reverend Hon. Arthur Allen Bateman-Hanbury, son of William Bateman-Hanbury, 1st Baron Bateman of Shobdon and Elizabeth Chichester, on 2 February 1858.3 She died on 31 December 1895 at age 58.3
     From 2 February 1858, her married name became Bateman-Hanbury.1
