     Mary Ward Davenport was born on 18 January 1837.³ She was the daughter of John Davenport and Charlotte Coltman.^2,3 She married Reverend Hon. Arthur Allen Bateman-Hanbury, son of William Bateman-Hanbury, 1st Baron Bateman of Shobdon and Elizabeth Chichester, on 2 February 1858.³ She died on 31 December 1895 at age 58.³
     From 2 February 1858, her married name became Bateman-Hanbury.¹
