And on that high note, 2024 was a wrap! ✨ As a testament of our commitment to excellence, we proactively undertook the process of renewing our yearly CHKS LTD accreditation - an international certification that assesses healthcare organisations on their performance, patient care, and safety standards. The process includes a thorough review of documentation and an on-site visit from independent auditors. Last November, we welcomed five auditors from the UK for the second cycle of this audit. C-Care achieved a score of 96.6%, meeting 1715 out of 1775 criteria. For Helene Echevin, C-Care Group CEO at CIEL Group, obtaining this certification is much more than a mere formality; it's an exercise in sincerity and rigor: “Being challenged by international independent experts means - above all - reinforcing our commitment to employee training, patient safety and the strong conviction that continuous improvement is an integral part of our DNA”. The auditors commended several key strengths that reflect C-CARE’s commitment to excellence: 🌟 Staff Engagement: The professionalism and dedication of our team shone brightly, showcasing the hard work and passion of the entire C-Care family. 🌿 Sustainability: Our One Life, One Tree initiative was recognised for its meaningful impact on both the environment and our community. 📚 Training and Standards: The consistency of our clinical training - especially through our OSCE programme - was acknowledged as pivotal in delivering high-quality care. 🔍 Proactivity: Our proactive approach on the wards ensures everything runs smoothly, contributing to seamless patient experiences. Reflecting on this laborious exercise, Surekha Aumeer, Project Manager - Quality & Risk at C-Care, shared that preparing for the second consecutive CHKS audit required overcoming significant challenges. “Regular training sessions and workshops were key to ensuring everyone understood their roles and the audit’s focus on improving patient care. A major contributor to this year’s success was the implementation of Qualtrix, a Clinical Outcomes Measurement and Reporting system designed to track and analyse critical metrics such as incident rates, surgical results, maternity outcomes, mortality rates, and patient safety indicators”. There is always room for improvement: “We’ve noted that we need to strengthen coordination between departments to streamline processes and enhance patient experience. To address this, we have already introduced regular inter-departmental meetings and collaborative tools for real-time updates. Continuing to educate our teams and staying proactive in tackling challenges will ensure that we maintain our high standards”, Aumeer stated.
