Singer-songwriter Kamakshi Khanna began churning out demos as part of her “Green Room Sessions” song series in 2020, taking stock of her life during the pandemic in the process. Her reflections on love, loss and the chaos of it all take centre stage on her EP Heartbreak 2020. Driving synths—especially on “I Blew It!”—and sweetened ballads dominate the lush production. Khanna is heartfelt in her melodies and lyrics, lamenting past relationships on “Love Is Not A Fucking Game”, shedding a tear for a fleeting lover on “Tourist” and reflecting on recent years on the title track.
