  • Perhaps, not just the Father of Malawi's independence, but the ancestor of our independence, whose life still hovers and inspires us to this day. A man who was ahead of his time, whose political consciousness planted the seed of this country's independence that we achieved half a century later after being killed by the British colonial government in January 1915. Today, as the song goes, let's remember; 'Kunali John Chilembwe M'boma la Chiradzulu Anali m'busa wa mphamvu' Happy John Chilembwe Day! 🇲🇼 #Biogas #Biofertilizer #JohnChilembwe

  • When you talk, we listen. When we work, we are dedicated. When we finish the work, we fulfill your needs. As EcoGen, we work diligently like Ants. When you need our services, we timely send officers who advise on the biogas system you need. After that, we start installing the biogas system which takes us only a day. Then we wait for three weeks for the biodigester to be filled with gas before we commission and let you enjoy cooking with biogas, at least for the next 20 years. Even after handing over the biogas system, you still have our technicians a call away to attend to any assistance you need as you get acclimatized to sustainable, affordable, and environmentally friendly cooking with biogas. #Biogas #Biofertilizer

On January 9, 2025, EcoGen attended the 'Presentation of Feasibility Study on Institutional Cooking Technologies in Malawi' in Lilongwe. The event was attended by several stakeholders in institutional cooking technologies in the country. As the leading biogas technology company in Malawi, EcoGen Limited has worked with several institutions to install biogas systems, including World Food Programme, Concern Worldwide, Mangochi Prison, Mikuyu Prison, Zomba Central Hospital, Atsikana Pa Ulendo Girls Secondary School, Likuni Girls Secondary School and several public primary and secondary schools across the country. Our Marketing and Partnership Manager, Mphatso Elizabeth Gama, presented the successes of these installations where we have managed to move institutions from firewood to biogas technology. This has helped the institutions to save massively on their cooking energy spending as well as mitigating climate change. #Biogas #InstitutionalCookingTechnology #ClimateChange #ZombaCentralHospital #MikuyuPrison #AtsikanaPaUlendo #MalawiGovernment European Union #WorldFoodProgramme Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH #Endev #NCSC #ClimateFriendlyFood&Fuel

  • We believe in giving back, and biogas is our love language. As part of our corporate social responsibility, we have installed a Sistema 20 biogas system at Mangochi Prison that will serve close to 300 prisoners. The prison used to rely on firewood and electricity for cooking energy. However, this was not sustainable and EcoGen stepped in to install the biogas system that will be fed from the organic waste generated by the institution. In addition to the clean energy, the prison will benefit from using the biofertilizer, for the prison's farm that supplies the facility with maize and vegetables. One biogas system, multiple benefits. Proudly killing many birds with one stone! As the year ends, one day we will look at our efforts in 2024, and this will be one of our proudest moments. #corporatesocialresponsibilty #CSR #prisons #institutionalbiogas #cleanenergy #biofertilizer #sustainability #soilhealth

WE WERE in Likuni, Lilongwe, together with Concern Worldwide - Malawi promoting the use of biofertilizer in gardens and farms. The farming season is upon us, and the reality of expensive chemical fertilizers is both depressing and mind-draining. The good news is that our biogas systems produce biofertilizer that farmers use in their gardens. You get a biogas system for cooking gas, you will also have biofertilizer for your crops. You can have a biogas system for as low as K249, 700, and forever solve the fertilizer question. What's more? Our biofertilizer has all the nutrients your crop and soil needs. • During the clean cooking event yesterday, November 29, 2024 at Maula Parish in Lilongwe, we had a visitor at our table who wanted to cook using our biogas system. Irish potatoes, cooking oil, and pots were available. We did it!! This is what we had for lunch and many were impressed that biogas' cooking fire was efficient and it took half the time to have the meal ready compared to using charcoal or electric fire. Further, there was no smoke on the pot as cooking fire from biogas produces no smoke. This is what one gets when they have our biogas systems. Efficient cooking that saves your time as well as utensils. Literally, clean cooking. With only K249, 700, for pig and cattle farmers, you can have a biogas system installed at your house, institution, or farm. Call us for more. #Biogas #biofertilizer
