Fear of hunger and disease. Fear of violence, conflict and exploitation. Fear that robs them of a childhood. Our local staff work in thousands of communities across the world to free children from fear. They know the names and stories of each child they help to support. They live and work alongside them, their families and communities to help change the world they live in for good. Our worldwide presence means we're quick to respond to emergencies like conflict and natural disasters. We also use our influence and global reach to ensure that children are represented at every level of decision-making. Founded more than 65 years ago by American missionary, Bob Pierce, our vision is of a world where every child has the chance to live life to the full. A world where each child is loved, protected and cared for, and enjoys good health and an education. A world where every child is free from fear. We want you to be part of making this vision a reality. Just like our staff all over the world, you’ll get to know the names of the children you help. You can sponsor, donate, pray, campaign or simply share their stories. However you choose to become involved, you will experience what it means to bring real and lasting change to children in the world’s hardest places. Do you have a child protection or adult beneficiary concern or any other concern regarding World Vision's work or staff conduct? World Vision is committed to taking action on every safeguarding report we receive.

It is written in the bible that man ought to work hard. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 reads, “Even when we were with you, we were giving you this command: ‘If anyone does not work, they should not eat.” The story of 48-year-old Maggie Phiri Nkhatabay district in Malawi is a greater testament to this biblical wisdom. Despite being a pastor and a single mother, Phiri is striving to succeed in life using God-given blessings. After attending a World Vision-championed Empowered World View (EWV) training, Phiri, a pastor for the Pentecostal Apostolic Church, decided to use what she had at her disposal to empower herself and her family. Today, Phiri is growing maize, cassava and bananas on her five-acre land. Through the proceeds from the farming business, Phiri has managed to build a house with electricity and bought goats, local chicken, a fridge and other basic household items. She also supports her children with school fees and other school needs. Phiri continues to preach about the Empowered World View philosophy to her congregants. #empoweredwomen |#empoweredcommunities |#empoweredpeople |#EmpoweredNation |#WeAreWorldVision World Vision World Vision Southern Africa World Vision USA World Food Programme UNICEF World Vision UK

On 14th December 2024, a story was told to the president of the Republic of Malawi, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, his wife, Monica Chakwera and the Minister of Water and Sanitation, Abida Mia on how World Vision has impacted the lives of millions of people in Malawi for over 40 years. For over 40 years in Malawi, World Vision’s focus has remained on helping the most vulnerable children overcome poverty and experience the fullness of life. We help children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, inspired by our Christian faith. On this particular day, at Luwerezi Community Day Secondary School Ground in Mzimba district, the president witnessed why World Vision Malawi has become a household. Our Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Project Officer, Tirivanhu Tizifa, passionately told the president, word by word, how World Vision has served the lives of over 1.5 million people with clean water across the country. In WASH alone, for over 40 years, World Vision Malawi has drilled over 5,000 boreholes and installed 177 state-of-the-art mechanized water systems, serving Malawians with piped water. Every word cemented on how World Vision is contributing to Sustainable Goal Number 6 which hopes for clean water. #OurImpactOurStory |#WeAreWorldVision |#ChangingLives |#TransformingMalawi World Vision World Vision Southern Africa World Vision USA World Vision UK World Vision New Zealand World Vision Taiwan 台灣世界展望會 UNICEF Water For People charity: water
