We had the honour and privilege to be invited by Gene M Tan to the book launch of “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Handbook for the Malaysian Workplace” by The Heartbased Group PLT in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia. The launch was appropriately held in conjunction with International Human Rights Day on 10th December. The Heartbased Group, founded by Tracy May and Gene M Tan, is a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting self-advocacy by embracing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles, with the aim of empowering the voiceless, vulnerable, and marginalised communities. Among the VIPs who officiated the launch were His Excellency Rafael Daerr (Ambassador of the European Union to Malaysia), His Excellency Edgard Kagan (Ambassador of the United States to Malaysia), His Excellency David Wallace, (Acting British High Commissioner to Malaysia), and Ryan Patrick Evangelista (Philippines Country Director, Center for International Private Enterprise). Also present was His Excellency Krzysztof Dobrowolski (Ambassador of Poland to Malaysia). The launch of this book is timely, offering essential guidance, a valuable toolkit, and a resource for Malaysian companies to implement DEI practices, which play a crucial role in ESG’s Social aspect. ESG Malaysia will be collaborating with The Heartbased Group to further promote the message of DEI to both companies and the broader community. #ESGMalaysia #DEI #TheHeartbasedGroup
