Visit of Sarawak Land Custody & Development Authority (LCDA) to Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad & FarmByte Sdn Bhd on 14th October 2024 On Monday, 14th October 2024, the Sarawak Land Custody & Development Authority (LCDA) delegation, led by Chief Operating Officer Tuan Haji Kusyairi, visited Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad and FarmByte Sdn Bhd. This site visit began with an insightful presentation by FarmByte, led by its CEO, Tuan Syed Aiman Kifli. The presentation highlighted the full spectrum of FarmByte’s operations, from upstream to downstream, highlighting the company’s innovative approach to modern agriculture and its innovative digital platform designed to streamline agribusiness processes. After the presentation, the delegation toured the Kulim Pineapple Farm, where they were introduced to the different pineapple grades produced by the farm. This allowed the LCDA delegates to observe the farm’s advanced cultivation practices and high standards of quality control. The visit concluded with a luncheon hosted by Datuk Syed Mohamad, President and Chief Executive of Johor Corporation, along with members of the JCorp Management Committee. This concluding session fostered fruitful discussions, emphasizing the shared goal of both LCDA and Kulim to advance agricultural development through collaboration and knowledge sharing. The visit laid the groundwork for potential partnerships, poised to contribute significantly to the future growth and sustainability of Malaysia’s agricultural sector.

KULIM plans to penetrate MD2 pineapple market in East Malaysia! Johor Bahru 08th August, 2024 We were honoured to welcome YB Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) to Kulim Pineapple Farm for a working visit to explore the potential of MD2 pineapple cultivation. The visit focused on exploring opportunities to expand the crop and market it locally and internationally. Accompanying him were YBrs. Sheikh Omar Ali, Chairman of the Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board (LPNM), Tuan Mohd Khairuzamri M. Salleh, Director-General of LPNM, and Tuan Ahmad Fitri Shah, Director of LPNM Johor. The delegation was welcomed by Tuan Haji Kamarulzaman Othman, Head of Upstream Operations and Stakeholder Management at Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad. Among the objectives of the visit include YB Datuk Arthur's aspiration to extend the MD2 pineapple industry in East Malaysia, particularly Sabah. As an experienced agribusiness player, KULIM fully supports this noble initiative and wishes this endeavour to be a great success.

Johor Plantations Group Berhad (JPG) is set to raise RM735 million in its IPO on Bursa Malaysia’s Main Market, the nation’s largest listing in over two years. This includes RM345.2 million from the sale of 411 million shares held by sole shareholder Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad. Kulim, JCorp's agribusiness arm which traded on Bursa Malaysia from 1975 to 2016, will retain a 65% stake in Johor Plantations post-IPO. Investors will have access to up to 35% of Johor Plantations' expanded share capital once the company lists on 9 July. The IPO will also generate RM389.8 million through the public issue of 464 million new ordinary shares in Johor Plantations. Public applications for the IPO began on Wednesday and will close this 24 June.

Kulim (Malaysia) Berhad (KULIM), through Women OnWards (WOW), commemorated the month of Ramadan 1445H by organising the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony called Rehal Wanita 5.0. The ceremony was recently held at Masjid Jamek, Ulu Tiram Estate. This year marks the fifth year of organising this programme as part of WOW's annual activities held during the fasting month for its members. The programme involves 85 participants including spouses of top management, women in management, as well as participants from the operating unit and head office. The programme commenced with a welcoming speech by Pn. Hjh Kasmawati Kasian, WOW Chairman, followed by a speech by Pn. Hamirah Ab Hamid, WOW Patron. The highlight of the event was the Quran recitation for Khatam Al-Quran, Yasin, and Tahlil led by Ustazah Maimunah Othman, a certified Quran teacher with over 15 years of experience from the Jabatan Agama Islam Kota Tinggi District.
