  • Our Swiss National Day celebration took place on August 1st at ROM8 Studio Damansara, to celebrate the 733rd birthday of #Switzerland. It was a joyous event filled with laughter, bringing together around 240 people, including Swiss Citizens living in Malaysia and Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC) Members. The evening began with a welcome drink offered by the Embassy of Switzerland in Malaysia , followed by the highlight of the night: traditional Swiss cuisine served by Chalet Suisse. The Raclette stations where especially popular, and along with other specialties and desserts, we’re confident that everyone’s taste buds were satisfied. The #SwissNationalDay celebration was more than just a gathering of Swiss nationals; it served as a platform to share culture and heritage with all attendees. This was demonstrated through the broadcast of the August 1st address by Viola Amherd - President of the #SwissConfederation, who highlighted #Swiss values such as the promotion of peace, the defense of democracy and freedom of expression, and the commitment to neutrality. This was followed by a speech from H.E Andrea Reichlin, Ambassador of Switzerland to Malaysia. This event would not have been possible without the unwavering support of all the SMCC Members and our generous event sponsors: Nestlé, SGS,Sika, VAT GROUP, Zurich Malaysia, Comet Group, SICPA, Belimo, Sarnatec Sdn Bhd, mindset.swiss., Luther Malaysia , Endress+Hauser Group, LEM and Hilti Malaysia.
