Huatang Village

Huatang Village is located in Jinting Town, Shengzhou City, Zhejiang Province, southeast of Siming Mountain. Wang Hongji, the 26th generation descendant of the famous calligrapher Wang Xizhi from the Eastern Jin Dynasty, led his clan to settle here, and it has undergone more than 800 years of development. The village retains a large number of ancient buildings and historical streets from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, maintaining their original layout and appearance, forming a unique Wang family culture. In the epitaph written by General Ming Wude and Professor Feng Yi of the Qin Prince's Mansion, it is said: 'The great-grandfather, Mr. Lanshi, once built on the sunny side of Ni Mountain. It was extremely magnificent, and people called it Huatang.' This marks the beginning of the name Huatang Village, which has been in use for more than 700 years. Huatang Village is open to the public free of charge all year round. There are shuttle buses from Shengzhou City to Huatang, running every 15 to 20 minutes.
