It was a pleasure to have hosted the Women, Business and the Law (WBL)team of the The World Bank Group at our Dikko & Mahmoud Abuja Office. The WBL team comprised of Alena Sakhonchik, Lolita Laperle-Forget and Olasubomi Chuku where we discussed about the WBL pilot subnational study in Nigeria in 5 states: Lagos, Kano, Oyo, Bauchi, Kaduna and the FCT. One of the primary objectives of the study is to create benchmarks of laws and supportive policy frameworks affecting gender equality across the ten WBL indicators at the state level in Nigeria; and to gauge experts' opinions on how women's economic opportunities are realized in practice. We had an engaging discuss with the members of our team led by our Senior Partner Mr. A. B. Mahmoud, SAN, Mr. Bello Abdullahi, Rasheeda Mukhtar, Elohozino Ulebe, Amira Hamisu, Aisha Abubakar Mahmoud, Hafsah Dasuki Imam and Chisom Njoku. #EndGBV #WomenEmpowerment #WomenBizLaw #WorldBankGroup
