🕊️ 🤝 The generation youth camp was a seven (7) days program held in Plateau State, whose aim was to bring the youth together and build social cohesion and empower them to go out and be agents of change and also to be peace ambassadors in their communities. The camp brought together youths from conflict-affected areas, including former aggressors and potential recruits, who participated in physical and mental training, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Sessions on de-radicalization, led by experts and religious leaders, equipped attendees with non-violent solutions to conflict, fostering understanding and empathy. Through the #PEACECORE programme, we aim at strengthening capacities for Peacebuilding & Conflict Resolution in Nigeria’s Middle Belt. The PEACECORE programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ). 🎬 https://lnkd.in/ekmZ8Hgj
