Recognition & creating visibility The Ashden Awards were held in London last week. This is a great platform for leaders to share with the world what they are doing. Seeing how they work towards solving the world’s climate challenges is truly inspiring. It is particularly wonderful to see the initiatives coming out of Africa. This year, Sandra Chukwudozie of Salpha Energy won in the category Energy Innovation (Global South). We are proud of Salpha’s global recognition for offering homegrown low-cost energy solutions and pay-as-you-go financing model, so that customers on lower incomes can have access to energy. In 2021, All On invested $1m in Salpha Energy to scale it’s solar home systems distribution business, focused on bottom-of-the-pyramid customers in rural and peri-urban areas across Nigeria including the Niger Delta.
