A student-led initiative empowering life science students in Nigeria with tech skills to innovate for healthcare.

About us

At TechBio, we are very big on giving a chance to underrepresented students studying life sciences who have the ability to innovate with tech. We’re especially interested in training deserving students and empowering them through our various collaborations and partnerships. We’re presently located in Nigeria, with a major presence in the University of Lagos. We are open to collaborations and partnerships. Should you also be impressed by our work and have a keen desire to establish a TechBio100 club in your university where we’ll aid you with all that’s needed to have a successful student-led tech club with the capacity to train life science students, then simply send us a DM. We look forward to working with you.

  • Ever feel like you're working so hard, but nothing is changing? Like you're putting in the effort, but the results don’t show? Here’s something we've learned. Progress isn’t always loud, obvious, or even linear. It’s quiet, a non-linear curve. It happens in the background, like seeds growing underground before they sprout. James Clear calls this the valley of disappointment, that tough stretch where it feels like nothing is working. But every small action you take is building momentum, even if you can’t see it yet. On this day, here’s our reminder to you: ✨ Keep showing up, even when progress feels invisible. ✨ Trust the process, even when it’s hard. ✨ Because one day, those seeds will bloom. How do you stay motivated when progress feels invisible? Let’s share ideas in the comments! 👇 #Growth #MotivationMonday #AtomicHabits #KeepGoing

We're delighted to begin the New Year with a massive one 🔥 🔥 The "Engineering A New You" series, a virtual masterclass led by our founder Damilare Haroun ADEBAKIN. Created to spark actionable growth and meaningful transformation, you cannot miss this 💯 . Featuring: 1. Laying the Foundations for Success. Watch: https://lnkd.in/esE4VTCG 2. People Management. Watch: https://lnkd.in/dPWa4nzg 3. Climbing the Ladder: Road to Stardom. Watch: https://lnkd.in/embx8g7w Our first session on Laying the Foundation for Success focused on the essential requirements for building a strong mindset and more. Our second session on People Management focused on two essential aspects: 1. The relationship with yourself: gaining self-awareness, understanding your unique strengths, and aligning your goals for personal and professional success. 2. The relationship with others: cultivating trust, fostering collaboration, and building meaningful, impactful connections. Our third and final session, "Climbing the ladder: Road to Stardom" focused on the reality that no one is an overnight success. You must be willing to take the first step up the ladder and rise. Like Lionel Messi once said, “I start early and I stay late, day after day, year after year, it took me 17 years and 114 days to become an overnight success.” (Source: Goodreads) Missed any of them? Watch the recordings and give us a feedback. Be a part of the conversation. What’s your go-to strategy for achieving a new you? Let’s share and learn together in the comments! #TechBio #Masterclass #FoundationForSuccess #EngineeringANewYou #GrowthMindset

  • As the year comes to an end, it's natural to reflect on the highs, the lows, and the lessons learned. We all know this year wasn’t perfect, but that’s what made it powerful. Every misstep became a lesson, every challenge was a test of resolve. Greatness isn’t about avoiding setbacks; it’s about embracing them as opportunities to recalibrate, innovate, and push forward. For us, this year has been about resilience, about showing up, learning, and building despite the odds. It’s been about understanding that the road to growth is rarely straight, but it’s always worth it. As we look ahead, we’re reminded that success isn’t measured by never falling but by the strength it takes to rise every time. Let’s carry that energy into the new year. It is a year for bold moves, relentless ambition, and unwavering purpose. How has this year shaped you? We would love to hear your reflections in the comments section. #TechBio #EndOfYearReflections #LessonsLearned #ResilienceInAction #GrowthJourney #ShareYourStory #ReflectAndReset

In our personal and professional lives, we tend to focus on the big milestones and rapid progress, but true transformation comes from the small, consistent actions we take daily. It’s the small wins, the daily habits, and the steady effort that add up to create a lasting impact. Whether you’re working on a project, developing a new skill, or pursuing a long-term goal, remember that every step counts. Keep moving forward, no matter how small the progress may seem because, over time, those small steps will lead you to the change you desire. #GrowthMindset #Consistency #Progress #MotivationMonday #CareerDevelopment #TechBio

Breaking New Ground in Quantum Computing! Today marks a historic milestone in the world of computing. Google has unveiled "Willow," a groundbreaking quantum computing chip that represents a monumental leap forward in technology and innovation. This chip tackles one of the most persistent challenges in the field: scaling up quantum systems while minimizing errors. With its advanced capabilities, Willow has managed to achieve what was thought to be impossible. In benchmark tests, it completed a computation in under 5 minutes—a task that would take the most advanced supercomputers over 10^25 years to complete. To put that into perspective, this computation exceeds the age of the universe! This development isn’t just a technological achievement; it’s a glimpse into the future of problem-solving, potentially revolutionizing fields like drug discovery, climate modeling, cryptography, and AI. As we stand on the brink of a new era powered by quantum technology, the possibilities seem endless. Hats off to the team at Google for pushing the boundaries of what technology can achieve.
