Meet the Driving Force Behind Tourism Invest Africa project. VERA I. SHARON OHIOMA Joseph Kafunda When we launched the Tourism Invest Africa initiative, we were aware that it would be a challenging endeavor. Therefore, we prepared ourselves for the obstacles ahead, balancing the initiative's goals with our business operations. While some may perceive our progress as slow, we maintain that our consistent efforts have enabled us to overcome hurdles and unlock solutions. We firmly believe in the vast potential of Africa's tourism industry, particularly among SMEs, and recognize the importance of aligning businesses with investors to achieve exponential growth. Africa, with its youthful population, rich cultural heritage, untapped resources, and unique destinations, is poised to become a prime destination. Tourism is a vital pillar of the service sector, driving trade and investment. Our commitment to realizing the initiative's objectives is unwavering. This year, we successfully hosted our inaugural in-person ATHW2024 Business Networking Mixer event in Lagos, Nigeria.
