The Challenge Fund for Youth Employment is a 7-year programme funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by Palladium, VSO Nederland and Randstad. The Fund aims to create a prosperous future for 230,000 young women and men in the Middle East, North Africa, Sahel & West Africa and Horn of Africa. This will be achieved by supporting youth employment initiatives in these regions. There is a key role for private sector in achieving this goal. Initiatives will offer youth, particularly young women, opportunities for decent work that delivers better prospects for personal development, is productive, and offers a stable income, social protection and safe working conditions.

Our Implementing Partner UGFS NA : United Gulf Financial Services-North Africa launches their Seed for Change Impact Fund! As a result of our partnership and the technical assistance received by CFYE, UGFS has recently established their Impact Investment Fund, the first in #Tunisia. "Seed for Change" seeks to empower farmers by investing in key players along their value chains, showing the fund's commitment to agricultural and economic development in Tunisia. Tailored technical assistance and consultancy helped UGFS finetune their strategy, focusing on increasing their ability to refine impact targets and embed impact elements in the fund, ensuring that impact can effectively be measured, and on enhancing their understanding of the investors network with an outlook on expansion. 🌍 In 2019, CFYE started its journey creating decent, meaningful, employment opportunities for 230,000 youth across the Middle East, North Africa, Sahel/West Africa and the Horn of Africa. Together, with our dedicated team and implementing partners, we've worked endlessly to empower youth, foster innovative ways in approaching youth unemployment, and drive sustainable economic growth in over 11 countries. This past week, we have had the pleasure of hosting our entire team in Utrecht for our annual retreat and we are thrilled to announce we have officially reached over 100.000 jobs, marking a rewarding milestone to have achieved as our whole team reunites.💪 Each job and each young person reached signifies more than just a statistic - it's a life transformed, a family strengthened, and a community uplifted, bringing us one step closer to reaching our goal of 230,0000 jobs by the end of 2026.
