Over ons
We create positive displacement. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 We aim to challenge the status quo in offshore wind development and seek to expand the addressable market for offshore wind systems. We believe that innovative solutions can enable global offshore energy markets to reach their full potential, as the industry has yet seen limited technology innovations over the past 20 years. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 DOT was founded in 2014 by Jan van der Tempel, who is also the founder and CEO of Ampelmann. DOT is backed by industry partners and has tested and developed innovations onshore and offshore. Over the years, DOT has worked on many projects that have shown the potential of the hydraulic drive train concept and it’s supporting innovations.

Innovation | Monopiles vibrate, shake and jet at test site at the Port of Amsterdam Article in Cobouw about Sustainable Installation of XXL Monopiles (#SIMOX) project. Vibrating technology can minimise damage to sealife when installing offshore wind turbine foundations, but certification is still lacking. A trial in the Port of Amsterdam brings this closer and paves the way for more innovations, such as simultaneous vibration, shaking and jetting. Current installation technologies for offshore wind turbines can impact marine life. Therefore, the offshore wind sector is developing innovative alternative installation methods to mitigate these effects. The GROW project #SIMOX investigates and tests various installation technologies to minimise negative impact and reduce underwater noise levels. TKI Offshore Energy has created a short animation showcasing EQ-Piling, Vibro driving, Vibrojet® driving, and Gentle Driving of Piles to give more insight into the various technologies Find out more about the project here: https://lnkd.in/euxXTWRR #OffshoreWind #GROWoffshorewind #installationtechniques #monopiles Project partners: Boskalis, Deltares, Delft Offshore Turbine (DOT), GBM Works, IQIP®, RWE, Seaway7, Shell, Siemens Gamesa, Sif Group, TNO, TotalEnergies, Delft University of Technology, Vattenfall, CAPE Holland, EDF Renouvelables, Heerema Engineering Solutions, Heerema Marine Contractors, OW Ocean Winds and Ørsted Many thanks for their contribution to Andrei Metrikine, Ahmed Elkadi (PhD, CEng), Stas Verichev, Michael Schaap, Dick van Wijngaarden, Govert Jaap Meijer, Marcelo Werneck, Jeroen Santcroos, Joline Frens and Arjan Hofmann
