"Meet Our colleague" Excited to Share My Journey at EQOM Group! Hi, my name is Wim van der Werf, and I’m 24 years old. I live in Borger, a small town in Drenthe. Besides work, my hobbies include reading, going to the gym, and spending time with friends. In February, I started my internship at EQOM Group with the Category Management team, part of the Purchasing Department. Over the course of the internship, I learned a lot about category management and discovered a passion for data-driven decision-making. Under the guidance of Dmitry Shutaev, Sophia Wong, and Cordula Otto, I successfully completed my graduation internship with a 9.2. After my internship, I was thrilled to continue my journey at EQOM as a Category Manager. My day-to-day activities are diverse, as opportunities for improvement come up across the customer journey and operational processes. I particularly enjoy data analysis and collaborating with my talented colleagues to bring value to the team and grow professionally. In September, I began my pre-master’s in BA Management Accounting and Control at the University of Groningen (RUG) to deepen my knowledge and analytical skills. I’m incredibly grateful to EQOM Group for allowing me to work part-time while pursuing my studies. This balance between theory and practice is invaluable. "Meet our colleague" Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Larissa de Vries and I’m 23 years young. I grew up in a small village in the province of Groningen and I moved to the city when I was 19, where I live on a houseboat with my boyfriend and two orange cats. Outside of work I love to hit the gym, read, garden and spend time being creative with drawing, painting and interior design. But whenever I’m up for something a little less relaxing you can on occasion find me at concerts and festivals dedicated to metal music. Not soon after moving to the city of Groningen, I started my internship at EQOM Group / EDC Retail B.V. in September 2021 and I have been at this company ever since. That would be just over 3 years in total now. My journey at EQOM started as a third year Communication student, doing a fulltime internship for the Beate Uhse Group. After I rounded up my internship, I stayed here as junior e-mail marketeer working parttime next to my studies. I did e-mail marketing for several brands like the Beate Uhse Group and all EasyToys markets. After some changes within the CRM team and also within the company that happened over time, I started doing e-mail marketing with full focus on our beautiful brand Adam et Eve. Which we very recently rebranded and that was a very challenging and cool project to be a part of. Being an e-mail marketeer for this brand is what I currently still do with lot’s of enthusiasm. When the end of my studies approached, I did my graduation thesis for Christine le Duc (also part of EDC) next to my current job. I graduated in January 2024 and since then I have moved from working parttime to working fulltime. This being a way more experienced e-mail and CRM marketeer then when I started my first internship in 2021. During the past few years I’ve learned a lot about marketing in general, and also specifically e-mail marketing, by working with many lovely and very talented people who taught me many new things and who have supported me in discovering and developing my personal skills. Together with our colleagues from EasyToys and EDC Retail B.V. both part of the EQOM Group, we participated in a beach cleanup day on Schiermonnikoog. While research shows the North Sea is gradually getting cleaner, there's still much work to be done. Everything we use in daily life can end up on the beach.
