Utrecht University – DaaS radar people counting Factorylab visited Universiteit Utrecht (UU) to talk about their efforts to gain a deeper understanding of different technologies for people counting. UU published what is called a market consultation, the first step prior to a tender. UU is looking for two suppliers, one for hardware and one for software. They are looking for a Device as a Service #DaaS solution to monitor over 300 workspaces, in range varying from small meeting rooms (15 m2) to large lecture halls (500 m2). Factorylab talked about their micro solution (desk occupancy), medium solution (entrance counting) but was especially excited to introduce their latest radar equipped people counter. Though still in its POC phase this technique offers exciting benefits over camera techniques, namely … it has no camera. Making it 100% anonymous. The first radar field test is scheduled for next month when Factorylab delivers two devices to a museum where we will perform a series of stress tests. 𝐂𝐎2 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐧𝐭! Last week, our valued partner Eurofins C-mark requested a survey on the indoor climate in their Deventer office. They approached Factorylab for 15 wireless indoor climate sensors and 1 indoor Gateway. Factorylab provides tailored sensor purchase solutions including purchase, DaaS and short-term rentals. The Factorylab solution was chosen because: • Effortless implementation process - Within one hour of receiving the sensors, C-Mark had real-time insight into their indoor climate. • Innovative costing solutions - This option is also affordable, as one month of rental is roughly equivalent to one day of having a consultant on-site. • Increased confidence from remote data - The sensors provide a significantly larger number of readings compared to manual readings by a consultant. We are about to release a brand-new sensor used to measure three temperature values on Thermostatic Mixer Valves (TMVs). This sensor doesn't just measure hot, cold, and blended water temperatures with a single device; the real innovation lies in the data it provides. In addition to temperature readings (compliance), it also registers flow (delta T), warns of scalding risks, and predicts when a TMV will require physical maintenance. A huge thank you to our colleagues Ruben Eland and Floris Kuipers for their research, and all the professionals they interviewed. Three smart current monitors were designed and tested by our R&D team in the Netherlands. The sensors were then sent to the client and installed. Driving Innovation in Smart Monitoring Solutions: Successful Deployment of ClipR in Leading London Hotel by Factorylab UK! After opening Factorylab UK last year, the first real eye-catching projects are being installed as we speak. Factorylab CEO André Eland and Malcolm Randall (Ambient Engineering Solutions Limited), installed a trial with our smart water sensors a few months ago. The sensors were installed to alleviate the already overburdened workload of a stretched engineering team, ensuring that one of London's premier hotels would uphold enhanced compliance throughout the building. After thorough testing, the hotel has recently agreed to install our devices throughout their entire system based on our Device-as-a-Service (DaaS) model. They have witnessed and realised the benefits of smart monitoring, all viewed through a industry-leading Legionella compliance software suite – LegionellaDossier.
