🌟 Sneak Peek: Breaking Barriers – Bridging the Gap in Entrepreneurship 🌟 As we approach our upcoming complimentary in-person event on January 23rd, we’re thrilled to share insights from panelist Sabine Stuiver, Co-founder and CMO of Hydraloop. Sabine’s journey defies convention—proving that you don’t need a standard career path or formal training in a specific field to create impactful change. From being a professional ballet dancer to founding a water-tech company that operates in more than 35 countries, Sabine has applied lessons from her diverse career to build a globally recognized success story. She believes every experience—no matter how unconventional—can prepare you for entrepreneurial success. Here are a few highlights from our conversation: Think boldly: Sabine envisions a future where “every building has a water recycling system as standard as solar panels.” This bold mission to create a circular water-smart society was the driving force behind starting Hydraloop. Overcoming challenges: Despite operating in a male-dominated field, Sabine has leveraged her unique perspective to drive innovation. However, she highlighted ongoing challenges for women entrepreneurs, from biases in funding discussions to navigating systemic barriers. Leverage diverse skills: Sabine’s varied career journey equipped her with unique skills—from perseverance learned in ballet to sales and marketing expertise—all of which she applies today as an entrepreneur. Purpose matters: Her advice to entrepreneurs? “Make it matter.” A strong purpose, Sabine says, is what keeps you going through challenges and inspires others to support your vision. Sabine’s story reminds us that success isn’t defined by the path you take but by the passion and purpose you bring to your journey. 🌟 Sneak Peek: Breaking Barriers – Bridging the Gap in Entrepreneurship 🌟 Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect from our complimentary event on January 23rd! We had the pleasure of speaking with panelist Ryanne Van Der Eijk, an accomplished executive and coach to both male and female entrepreneurs. Drawing from her extensive experience, Ryanne shared valuable perspectives on the unique challenges women face during the critical early stages of entrepreneurship. One key observation? Ryanne noted that “women are often more modest, while men tend to take a more direct, ‘just try it and see’ approach.” This can create additional pressure for female entrepreneurs, particularly when navigating environments dominated by male stakeholders. She highlighted the importance of building a network of complementary perspectives to provide support and balance. Another standout insight? “You need to fix the roof when the sun is shining.” Ryanne emphasized the importance of establishing strong business structures—dashboards, processes, and strategies—during periods of growth to ensure resilience when challenges arise. Ryanne also spoke about the critical role of resilience and support systems. She highlighted how mentorship and networks can empower entrepreneurs to overcome barriers, helping them stay focused and confident throughout their journeys. Ryanne’s blend of corporate leadership and entrepreneurial coaching offers invaluable guidance for navigating barriers, securing funding, and scaling effectively. 🌟 Burn Bright, Not Out: A Thought-Provoking Session on Burnout and Well-Being 🌟 Yesterday, we hosted an inspiring session on exhaustion and burnout with Anna Katharina Schaffner, PhD, a leading expert, burnout coach, and author of Exhausted: An A-Z for the Weary. Key takeaways from the session: 💡 Burnout isn’t just about work—it’s the result of stress across all areas of life. 💡 To truly rest, we must disconnect—mentally and physically—from work. 💡 Burn bright, not out—restore energy by rediscovering what brings you joy and purpose. 💡 Organizations have a crucial role in preventing burnout by fostering healthier, more supportive work cultures. One powerful insight: “We need to become time rebels—prioritize rest and joy unapologetically.” A heartfelt thank-you to Anna for her expertise and to everyone who participated. Let’s keep this vital conversation going! Global Women Connect - Europe Chapter #GlobalWomenConnect #BurnoutPrevention #WellBeing #BurnBrightNotOut

For many mothers, the constant balancing act of work, parenting, and life’s demands can feel like running a marathon with no finish line. 🏃♀️ A recent LinkedIn post revealed that the average working mom essentially works the equivalent of 2.5 full-time jobs—a reality that resonated deeply with many. 💼💔 The heartfelt responses included not only mothers sharing their experiences but also fathers who acknowledged feeling equally stretched thin or expressed concern about the toll this takes on their partners. 👨👩👧👦 At GWC Europe, we recognize that burnout is not limited to one role or gender. Fathers, too, often face pressure, and many are searching for ways to better support their partners. 🤝 Beyond parenting, we also see how caregiving responsibilities—such as supporting aging parents—disproportionately fall on women. 👵👩 In our conversation with Anna K. Schaffner, top exhaustion coach and author featured in BBC, Financial Times, and Psychology Today among other key publications, we will discuss how to recognize and address burnout early and strategies to manage the different types of exhaustion. 📚💡 📢Join us this Thursday with Anna Katharina Schaffner, PhD to learn about fostering resilience and maintaining a sense of balance. ⚖️ https://lnkd.in/gvviXwhr
The average working mom works 98 hours per week. That’s 14 hours/day 7 days/week 🕕 6am - wake up, maybe try to exercise, may do chores or catch up on work 🕖 7am - wake up kids, get ready 🕗 8am - get kids to childcare 🕣 8:30am - get to paid work 🕘 9am - 5pm - do paid work (round 1) 🕔 5pm - head out of paid work to pick up 🕠 5:30 - pick-up 🕠 5:30-6:30 - try to figure out dinner 🕡 6:30-7:30 - play 🕢 7:30-8 - bedtime routine 🕗 8:00-9:30 - chores and clean-up 🕤 9:30 - paid work (round 2) until bed* *”Sleeping” includes frequent night tie wake ups And there’s still all of the family tasks that didn’t get done. It’s a recipe for exhaustion. It’s no wonder that 67% of parents considered leaving their job in the last year. Something needs to change. --- At Sundays we’re trying to be a small part of it by giving families a trusted partner to think and execute on all of the things their family needs.

✨️Burnout solutions are not working… find out why and learn to pivot back to engagement✨️ Burnout is not just a personal issue; recent research shows it’s a systemic challenge that affects productivity, retention, and organizational health. Many organizations have been focusing on driving improvements by offering a set of personal interventions centered on what employees can do to improve at an individual level. 🧘 Yoga, 🧘♂️ mindfulness training, coaching, access to therapy are examples of those interventions… and while those are positive and provide a buffer or a cushion, they rarely address the core reasons behind employee exhaustion. 🌟 GWC EU has reached out to exhaustion coach Anna K. Schaffner to organize a Q&A session that will explore actionable solutions that address the root causes of burnout—not just its symptoms. This session is for you if: - You’ve put significant effort into self-care but still feel drained and disconnected from your work. 💔 - You’re a manager, organizational leader, or HR staff looking for effective strategies to enhance engagement and commitment. 📈 - You want to take proactive steps and discover ways to prevent exhaustion and burnout. 🔋 Join us to explore actionable steps and effective methods to reignite engagement. 🎉 https://lnkd.in/gvviXwhr Can’t make the live session? 📅 Register to receive the recording.
