𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 – 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿! 🎄⚓ As 2024 draws to a close, we at Polestar Publishing are looking back on a year full of progress, growth, and connection. This year, we launched the Polestar Digital Academy, bringing maritime knowledge into the digital world. We expanded our library with new publications like ISM Basics and the Portuguese edition of Bow Tug Operations. We also refreshed trusted titles like Auxiliary Equipment, Fuels, Lubricants, and Materials, and Marcom A to keep up with industry needs. Our LinkedIn community grew, and we charted new waters with our Instagram debut. We attended numerous fairs, conferences, and seminars, connecting with passionate maritime professionals and sharing insights that continue to inspire us. 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀: 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗯𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🛥️ We’re happy to share that Polestar Publishing is now a member of the The Workboat Association (WA). 𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗯𝗼𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁? 🚢 Tugboats are now delivering over 100 tons of bollard pull, but with this rise in power, smaller tugs may become rare. This shift is causing concern among pilots who rely on smaller tugs for maneuvering smaller vessels.   Last month, Captain Henk Hensen shared his insights on this trend and it's impact on the maritime industry. 𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐞? It’s incredible to see how our books find their way to maritime training programs in all corners of the world. By the end of August, we’ve shipped a total of 4,676 books, with 2,106 sent in August alone. From West-Terschelling to Singapore, and from Iceland to Brazil, our publications contribute to the education of the next generation of maritime professionals. From local ports to international academies, these books are making their way into classrooms and training centers around the world. It’s something we’re proud of, knowing that wherever they land, they're helping to build the knowledge needed for safer, more efficient maritime operations. #polestarpublishing #maritime #education
