We were pleased to share the progress of our TidalKite and testing activities with the committed Ameland community yesterday, following our initial community meeting in February. We thank Gemeente Ameland and all local residents for their enthusiastic participation and continued interest in our journey!

Great news: we're joining the #SHINES (Showcasing Hydrokinetic energy Innovations for Northwest European Energy Sovereignty) project! Congratulations to all the project partners for making this a reality! With Interreg North-West Europe (NWE)'s support, we'll advance tidal and river energy solutions together. This week, we were in Amsterdam for 𝗢𝗘𝗘𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 — and we engaged in many meaningful conversations, strengthened partnerships, and explored new connections. It was a great pleasure to exhibit at Ocean Energy Europe in Aviemore this week. We presented during the Tidal Showcase, highlighting the progress we've made in testing our TidalKite system. The latest test results underscore TidalKite's unique capability to harness energy from lower-velocity, shallow-water sites, significantly expanding the deployment potential of tidal. We had great conversations, strengthening existing relationships and forging promising new ones. NOS covered our activities and produced a segment about our TidalKite system.

Tidalkite, an underwater kite designed to harness energy from tidal currents in three dimensions, has received a €2.5M grant from Waddenfonds (Wadden Fund). 🌊💰  According to SeaQurrent®, the Dutch deeptech and clean energy startup behind this technology, it represents a significant achievement in lowering the cost of generating electricity from tidal energy.
