Modern IT skills and frameworks work everywhere, whether you’re managing organizational change or creating new product features. During this week’s YEP Ethiopia training, we explored a wide range of topics: 1️⃣ Process optimization and automation using ERP 2️⃣ Change management and handling team resistance 3️⃣ Using design thinking to build solutions that fit customer needs 4️⃣ Using ChatGPT to boost efficiency and improve quality 5️⃣ Understanding the importance of cybersecurity in an automated, internet-driven world The variety of backgrounds in the trainee groups made the conversations more interesting and helped everyone grow together. Thanks to our ICT trainers Andreas Prins and Janco van de Merbel who facilitated these sessions! #ICT #ChatGPT #ERPgame #practicalassignment #managementtraining #leadershipskills

Flower Power🌹: A Deep Dive into Ethiopia’s Horticulture Sector. Yesterday, Batch 6 had the privilege of exploring Ethiopia's vibrant horticulture industry firsthand. Together with the trainer team they visited Dümmen Orange, a leading breeder and propagator, and AQ Roses PLC, Ethiopa, a major rose producer and exporter in Debre Zeit. This insightful visit shed light on the complex flower supply chain, from source to consumer. Our trainees were well-prepared with sharp questions, sparking engaging discussions with the teams at both companies. The company visit provides a practical learning experience, allowing YEP Ethiopia participants to apply theoretical knowledge from Business management, HRM, Supply Chain Management, CSR and Finance to real-world scenarios. Many thanks to our Batch 6 trainees Natnael Berehe, Hannah A. and our trainer Benjamin Goepferich who made this company visit possible! Also thanks to Dirk Looij, James Mwangi and Patrick Mburu for the warm welcome, hosting us and showing your beautiful companies. #YEPexperience #companyvisit #bringingtheorytopractice #horticulture #supplychainmanagement #CSR #businessmanagement #HRM

Next week = YEP December week! As we are preparing for the upcoming YEP December Week, we’re excited about another company visit! Company visits are an important part of the YEP Ethiopia Curriculum. It’s a chance to learn, connect, and share valuable insights. Even sharing our workplaces with one another is incredibly valuable. Last June, Batch 5 visited Ethiopia Poultry (Maranatha Farm Plc) and Stichting Denbi. (Denbi Maranatha Clinic) Thank you, Bert Bout and Berdien Coster, for hosting us! Special thanks to our YEP Alumni Hanna Teklu and Asefa Birhanu who made us feel very welcome too! It was wonderful to visit your workplace and witness your passion for the company! We ended the day with an unforgettable afterparty, where trainers joined the batch, enjoying delicious Ethiopian dishes together. Want a glimpse of the experience? Check out the video below ⬇️ Next week, it’s Batch 6’s turn for a company visit. Stay tuned to see where we’ll be heading!
