🌟It's a win in Bodø! 🌟 We are thrilled to announce that Nordic Office of Architecture Norway in close partnership with ADC – Abstract Drawing Center, has been selected to design FK BODØ/GLIMT's new stadium – The Arctic Arena, and its brand identity in the vibrant city of Bodø, Norway. It’s an honor to have been entrusted by Nordic Office of Architecture Norway and Consto AS to contribute to this ambitious project, providing the architectural concept and a comprehensive brand identity for the stadium that will define its essence. The design concept, "Facets," draws inspiration from the idea of diverse elements coming together to form a unified strong whole, much like the facets of a diamond. This symbolizes the strength and unity that emerge when different pieces align seamlessly—a reflection of Bodø’s communal and cultural spirit. Football (soccer) plays a central role in this narrative, acting as a unifying force woven into the city’s cultural fabric. The new Arctic Arena captures Bodø’s unique identity, merging its coastal heritage, rich history, and passion for sports into a singular architectural expression. It’s more than just a stadium; it’s a celebration of Northern Norway’s resilience, community, and spirit. Located at 67° north, the Arctic Arena will proudly stand as one of Europe’s northernmost football stadiums, serving as a striking landmark that not only connects the region but also puts Bodø on the global map. We’re incredibly proud to have been working alongside Nordic OOA, Consto, LNS AS, Arup, and Norconsult to bring this vision to life. ⚽🎉Nordic Office of Architecture designs FK BODØ/GLIMT's new stadium - a sustainable arena for sports and community ⚽🎉 Not only will it be one of Europe's northernmost football stadiums and a tribute to football and northern Norwegian strength, but will unite the region and contribute to the development of Bodø as a destination. In collaboration with Consto AS and LNS AS, we have assembled a carefully selected team of expertise - landscape architects and advisors from Norconsult contributing local knowledge for a sustainable and harmonious design, and stadium experts Arup and international agency ADC – Abstract Drawing Center for a holistic sporting and Arctic identity for the arena. Arctic Arena will be a foundation for social sustainability in the region and a unique gathering point. It will facilitate sporting development while meeting the needs of visitors, spectators, and players. Nordic Office of Architecture in collaboration with ALA Architects Ltd win landmark project for “The Tromsø Cultural Quarter” Partners in the project are Norconsult with expertise in engineering disciplines and landscape design, Kahle Acoustics, partners for acoustics, and Charcoalblue and Casson Mann Ltd for stage and museum aspects. “The two houses will be nestled within a protective shell, its brightness standing out during the long dark periods. These two independent cultural institutions will harmonize to create a new landmark in the Arctic city" - Thomas Lindgård Fagernes, Partner. With “Samklang” we seamlessly integrate the two houses into a unified structure, featuring a central core that spans all floors to ensure cohesive communication, efficient logistics and optimal site utilization – with a third room that elegantly distributes the audience and visitors across all levels. What an early Christmas gift to the cancer cause! The Oslo City Council has decided to sell several properties to the Oslo Science Hub, which allows for an expansion of the Radiumhospitalet Campus. With the sale of four central properties, more cancer research and the development of new cancer treatments are now facilitated. We at Nordic are proud and very grateful to be part of this project and to contribute to the realization of the Oslo Science Hub dream. Congratulations to everyone involved, with an expansion that could mean thousands of new jobs and a further commitment to the research environment in Norway. Stortinget har sagt ja til «Byggetrinn 2, del 1» av det nye regjeringskvartalet, noe som betyr at vi kan se frem til oppstart på blant annet bygging av C-blokken! I «Byggetrinn 2, del 1» ligger nemlig bygging av C-blokken, samt kjellerarbeider og rehabilitering av bygninger i Møllergata. I tillegg kommer etablering av byrom og store deler av den parken som er planlagt nord i kvartalet, og som blir et viktig grønt bidrag til hovedstaden. Dette gleder vi oss til! Nordic har en stor ambisjon om å være ledende innen bærekraftig arkitektur. To av våre dyktige arkitekter, Ine Ringlund og Eva Schwärzler, deltar i årets kull av Norconsults Innovasjonslederprogram. De har allerede bidratt med nye metoder og ser frem til spennende oppgaver. Bildene viser en workshop arrangert med Bærekraftsgruppen på kontoret i Oslo, hvor de kartla potensialer, utfordringer og veien videre med konkrete ideer og målsettinger. Innovasjonslederprogrammet er et prestisjefylt og intensivt utviklingsprogram som er designet for å dyrke frem neste generasjons ledere innen innovasjon, teknologi og bærekraft. Programmet kombinerer teoretisk undervisning med praktiske utfordringer, og deltakerne får muligheten til å jobbe tett med eksperter innen ulike fagfelt. Deltakerne får verktøy og innsikt til å drive frem innovative prosesser og implementere løsninger i sine prosjekter. Det er ikke bare en arena for personlig vekst, men også et sted hvor nye idéer og metoder kan testes og utvikles, noe som er avgjørende for å sikre fremtidens bærekraftige arkitektur.

Three teams have been selected to compete in designing the new headquarters of Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK) at Ensjø in Oslo. Bodø/Glimt is building a new stadium, and Nordics proposal is one of three presented. The proposal has been developed in collaboration with Consto AS, Arup, Norconsult, and LNS AS . We envision Europe's northernmost and arctic football arena – a tribute to both football and northern Norwegian strength.
