We’re excited to welcome Gustavo and Iker to the Over Easy team! 🎉 Originally from Lima, Gustavo Saenz holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and has prior experience as an Inventory Manager. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Advanced Engineering: Production, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management at UPV in València, while supporting us in optimizing logistics and coordination. Outside of work, Gustavo is a force on the dance floor 🕺, a calisthenics enthusiast 🤸 and an avid traveler 🗺️—always seeking new adventures and experiences! Iker is currently working towards his bachelor’s in Computer Engineering with a focus on Software Engineering. He’s already making an impact at Over Easy by helping us with everything tech- and software development-related. When he's not at work, you’ll find Iker on the basketball court 🏀, playing videogames 🎮 or diving deeper into his passion for technology 🧑💻! We’re thrilled to have them on board and can’t wait to see the great things we’ll achieve together! 😊

In May 2024, Over Easy completed a 6.8 kWp installation on the company’s sedum rooftop, marking a significant step forward in integrating PV systems with green roofs. The installation - the first of its kind in Austria - is designed for quick and easy setup, requiring no ballasting, which simplifies the process and reduces structural requirements. New installation live in the Netherlands! Together with our partner Sempergreen Group, we've delivered a 4 kWp residential installation in Lunteren! This rooftop is now thriving with sedum while generating clean energy with our vertical solar panels 🌿☀️ 🔹 20 units installed  🔹 4 kWp system  🔹 Green roof for added sustainability   🔹 Ultra-lightweight panels – only 11 kg/m²  🔹 Mechanical installation done in under 1 hour Thanks to the bifacial vertical design, the system benefits from two production peaks, avoiding grid congestion while maximizing energy generation. Plus, the green roof reflects part of the sunlight onto the panels, which boosts efficiency⚡ A huge thank you to EcoVix Dak- en Gevelgroen for installing the great green roof and Stroom door Zon for installing our VPV units.

Effortless solar green roofs: enjoy easy-peasy maintenance with our vertical panels! ☀️☘️ Green roofs are on the rise across Europe, helping cities combat climate change, reduce urban heat, and improve biodiversity. Among all European markets, the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) leads the way, with millions of square meters of new green roofs installed each year—creating enormous potential for solar integration ⚡🏙️ In the past years, the green roof market in the DACH region saw remarkable growth: Germany:  ✔️ Installed 10 million m² of green roofs in 2023 (Bundesverband GebäudeGrün e. V. - BuGG).  ✔️ Green roof market growing at an average 7.6% annually. Austria: ✔️ Added 1.53 million m² of new green roofs in 2022 (GRÜNSTATTGRAU) – equivalent to 217 football fields!  ✔️ Among these, 90,000 m² were solar green roof systems – a 50% increase from the previous year.  ✔️ The market has sustained an average growth rate of 7.15% since before the pandemic. Switzerland:  ✔️ Basel has the highest green roof coverage per inhabitant globally, with ~7 m² per resident (Verein Dachbegrünung Region Basel).  ✔️ A new law mandates solar PV systems on new buildings over 300 m², further accelerating sustainability efforts. These figures highlight the immense potential for solar green roofs in Europe, with the DACH region at the forefront. Yet, misconceptions persist—many believe biosolar roofs require constant care, deterring installations. In our latest blog, we bust the myth that solar green roofs are high-maintenance. With our vertical solar panels, upkeep is a breeze—just two simple inspections a year to clear weeds, check drains, and nourish the sedum.
