Last week at Startup Extreme, I was honored to share my perspective on "The Future of the Energy World" on a panel conversation organized by Kjeller Innovasjon AS.
#Norway is the global leader in the rollout and adoption of #EVcharging infrastructure. Companies like Mer and Elywhere are setting benchmarks that the rest of the world aspires to. As entrepreneurs, it's our duty to harness this pioneering spirit and expertise, delivering tangible value not only here in Norway but globally.
This commitment was a driving force behind SurplusMap 's founding. We are motivated by a vision to make electric vehicles and their charging infrastructure pivotal in the global shift toward sustainable energy systems, thereby creating cleaner, quieter, and more livable cities.
For the past few months, through the support of Google Startups for Sustainable Development program, SurplusMap has developed cutting-edger algorithms predicting utilization rates for EV charging stations, optimizing the rollout across Europe. We've integrated these tools into our map-based technology to provide superior planning and operation in EV infrastructure, empowering decision-makers to invest confidently in charging infrastructure.
This is how I see "The Future of the Energy World": a synergy of deep domain expertise and advanced technology.
In our case, it combines Norway's leadership in implementing societal green changes, like widespread EV and EV charging adoption, with Google's advanced AI capabilities. This combination allows us to use data in new, innovative ways, guiding our strategic decisions towards a more sustainable future.
At SurplusMap our mission extends beyond the technical aspects of our platform. We are building bridges between cutting-edge technology and the everyday needs of global communities striving for sustainability.
Thank you all for your continued support and partnership as we charge towards a cleaner, greener future together!
I am immensely grateful for the platform provided by Startup Extreme and for the enriching discussions with fellow panelists Erland Lundby, Tom Even Mortensen (Sandwater), Kaare Helle (DNV), Knut-Andre Odda (Ringerikskraft) and Simon Risanger (Versiro).
Special thanks to Kristina Đurkić and the entire Kjeller Innovasjon AS team for orchestrating such an enlightening experience.
