Meet our new colleague laila lunde 🙌 We’re excited to welcome Laila to Vårgrønn as our new Senior Document Controller. In her role, Laila will serve as the Document Control Lead for the Green Volt Project, managing the intake, handling, and storage of documentation. She will also play a key role in supporting our upcoming project portfolio, ensuring the right systems, tools, and procedures are in place for efficient document management. Laila brings with her 25 years of experience in document control within the oil and gas sector. Before joining Vårgrønn, she worked as DCC Lead at Aker Solutions and previously held roles as DCC/LCI Lead at ELDOR and DCC Lead at Fabricom. Yesterday, we hosted a side event following the #Energihovedstaden2025 conference in Stavanger, where we shared exciting updates and key milestones on our Green Volt project – Europe’s first large-scale floating offshore wind farm! 🌍🌊💨 It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with industry representatives, authorities, and politicians to discuss both the challenges and opportunities in developing floating offshore wind in Norway. "Offshore wind is as much about security policy and geopolitics as it is about reducing emissions, creating jobs, building an industry, and meeting increasing power demands. This is why progress on Utsira Nord is so important. Our success with Green Volt, together with Flotation Energy, marks a significant step forward for floating offshore wind in Norway and beyond," says Céline Henriette Maagerøe, Public Affairs Manager at Vårgrønn. Offshore wind is a cornerstone of Europe’s clean energy future, shaped by numerous factors that influence the risks and opportunities Vårgrønn faces. From this work, we have identified eight key “Strategic Beliefs.” These beliefs provide a clear and concise way to express what we understand about our industry. They are grounded in the external market context, including policies, power markets, supply chains, and competition. Over the past fortnight, we have hosted workshops across all our locations, inviting employees to participate in these vital discussions. Inclusion is key to ensuring alignment and establishing a strong foundation for setting KPIs and milestones. These will underpin detailed objectives and key results across the organisation. Meet Paul Hammond, who will lead the technical teams for the Green Volt floating wind project and serve as Vårgrønn's Technical Expert for Construction & Engineering, contributing to the company's broader initiatives. With over 16 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Paul brings a wealth of expertise to his role. Prior to joining Vårgrønn in January 2025, he was Head of Construction at Corio Generation. He has also held positions as Construction Manager at Corio, Green Investment Bank, and Macquarie Capital. Before joining Macquarie, Paul worked as Construction Manager and Fleet Superintendent at Seajacks UK Ltd.
