It marked a historic day for the #Nepalitea Industry as the first ever ‘Nepal Tea Challenge’ 2024 and Tea auction was conducted bringing together tea producers, buyers and tea enthusiasts under the same roof. It was an opportunity for Siddhadevi Tea estate (Chiya) to showcase and celebrate our awards won internationally and raise awareness among #Nepali tea drinkers and public about the growing international recognition of #Nepalitea around the world. Out of 100+ entries competing in the challenge, 12 excellent teas fetched outstanding prices and generated over 4+ Million Nepali rupees of sales within an hour of the #teaauction. A special thanks to Sonam Paljor Lama for taking the initiative to bringing forth various stakeholders of the #Nepalitea industry and making the event a grand success. Siddhadevi Tea Estate began in the remote hills of Eastern #Nepal, where we met small tea growers who, lacking a market and guidance, had abandoned their crops. Against all odds, we set up a factory, providing these farmers with a market and steady income, revitalizing the local economy. Our mission is to bring the rich flavors of #orthodoxtea to the world with sustainable practices, while empowering the community. The result? Pure, rich #tea infused with the essence of the Himalayas. It's been an incredible journey from the first day we set up the factory, navigating countless challenges along the way. To winning in 4 categories and being named Grand Champions at the #WorldTeaExpo, representing Nepal. This achievement is a proud moment for Nepal and puts Nepal on the map for yet another reason.
