A massive shout out to Ando Insurance for supporting a bunch of us to do the Rage Against Riverhead running event last weekend. It’s a cool event in Riverhead Forest, where either teams or individuals run as many laps as possible in either an 8, 12 or 24 period. https://lnkd.in/g-qNZy2F We had 13 keen Andonians up for the challenge, from all parts of the business. It was such a great vibe, both the event itself, and the chance to connect with colleagues over what was at times a pretty tough physical and mental challenge. Teamwork at its best!! One of the key causes that Ando supports is Trees for Transport - https://lnkd.in/gmRfWnrN - which is all about planting as many native trees as possible. And for every lap we completed as a group, Ando donated a tree to this great cause. Once all the numbers were in, we did exactly 100 laps. So that another 100 trees that will be planted along Aotearoa’s walking and cycling trails. What a cool thing to do…I highly recommend my corporate colleagues having a think about getting a team or two for this event in 2025. We will be there again with bells on!!

We had an amazing Diwali celebration at Ando Insurance's Auckland office last week. It was an opportunity to celebrate light, love and togetherness and a reminder that even the smallest light can shine brightly during the darkest of times. 🪔✨ Thank you to the Diwali committee who organised everything leading up to, and on the day, and everyone who joined in the fun. Highlights from the day included the beautiful traditional clothing, clay Diya lamps and vibrant decorations, henna artists, and delicious traditional home-made sweets and snacks. Together with Brenden Townsend and Steve Gale from our broker partners, Greenlight Insurance Brokers, Vaughan Bridges and I recently attended the Log Haulage Contractors Association awards dinner in Tokoroa. It was a fantastic evening hosted by Graham Sheldrake and the Log Haulage Contractors Association, celebrating a cause close to our hearts at Ando Insurance: recognising and rewarding incident-free drivers. The trucking industry plays a critical role in keeping New Zealand moving and it’s the dedication of these drivers that ensures that everyone makes it home safely. Had a fantastic time at the Steadfast Conference in beautiful Otautahi Christchurch, where the theme was all about 'Connect'. It was an amazing opportunity to catch up with Steadfast members, share what we're doing at Ando Insurance, and hear directly from brokers about their business journeys. Our trade stand was a big hit, and congratulations to our prize winners! A huge thanks to John Lyon and Jane Kabysh for the collaboration during the speed dating sessions. John shared exciting updates on Ando's latest milestones, while Jane and I proudly announced the launch of our Personal Lines connectivity roll-out via SCTP, kicking off this November.
