  • Last week Forty Thieves Nut Butters participated at the Orewa Santa Parade to bring our local community an exciting Peanut Butter themed performance! Teaming up with Susie’s School of Dancing was incredible. The students and teachers put so much effort into making it a special and memorable experience for the crowds. A big thank you to our friends at Venerdi, Blue Frog Breakfast , Honest Chocolat and All Good for contributing their delicious products for the goodie bags to celebrate our 40 masked thieves! Dressing up, chanting and parading down the street.... It's definitely not the conventional way to market Peanut Butter! But Forty Thieves Nut Butters is not a conventional Peanut Butter business. So last weekend, that's exactly what we did... Forty masked peanut thieves participated at The Orewa Santa Parade. In front of 10,000 people! It was an honour to team up with Susie, a talented performer and director whose been running her dancing school for 20 years. Together, we brought our local Hibiscus Coast community a Peanut Butter themed performance to remember. So how do I measure ROI? Was it worth the effort? YES! I hope the trained marketeers on this platform will agree that creating real connections and memorable moments is worth a lot!

  • Back by popular demand! Our Halloween Chocolate Treat Butter is now available online. Customers have been requesting it from August. We only made 600 jars and they're probably going to be sold out by October 31st. This year, we've decided to share the story to how we accidentally got to our spook-tacular treat. Definitely a frightfully good accident 😅😉 https://lnkd.in/gw3VP9yM

Our Halloween Chocolate Treat Butter was a happy accident. When we design a new product, we follow a simple checklist. It needs to be: ➡ Healthy ➡ Delicious ➡ Affordable ➡ Sustainable We brainstorm new combinations, source the best ingredients and then spend a lot of time mixing up different ratios until we can tick all four boxes. With 18 food awards under our belt, ranging on the shelves of 500 supermarkets, it's safe to say we've smashed the formula. Our Halloween Chocolate Treat Butter ticks all these boxes. But we got to it by accident. We were supposed to be making Salted Macadamia. If you haven't tried this product, it's our liquid, gold-winning combo of macadamias, cashews, maple, vanilla and salt. But one of our team members accidentally milled cashews with hazelnuts instead. I put my marketing hat. I discovered Halloween was just around the corner. So we mixed in some organic chocolate, pulled together a Halloween inspired label and then launched it online. It was a massive hit and a huge 'phew' moment. We now have customers writing in and asking for it from August. There are customers ordering over 10 jars at the time. Our Halloween Butter is a good reminder that sometimes things happen, out of our control. But it's how we react when an accident happens. We're in control of that.

I could get used to this… And not just the getting glammed up part! Brent Godfrey and I were very lucky to attend the AmCham DHL Express Success & Innovation Awards last week at the Pullman Hotels & Resorts. I love events like this because I’m surrounded by incredible, motivated, high achievers. 💪 There is some really innovative tech, some using AI, coming out of NZ right now. My favs include: Toku Eyes - a company that’s worked out how to use AI to identify health issues through the eye. 🤯 Kara Technologies - for making content accessible through sign language using digital avatars! Ohmio - safe, driverless electric vehicles. As an FMCG business I was also really inspired by Free AF | AF Drinks for creating a vibrant and compelling brand to sell their alcohol free drinks. 👏 A huge thank you to Brianne West and Tristan Roberts from Insprie, for inviting the Forty Thieves Nut Butters team to join. No surprise that Insprie sponsored the Social Impact Award. 🙌 Nice to meet other likeminded entrepreneurs like Terps & Co, ANDFOODS and Mothers Ruined Gin at our table - worth checking them all out!

  • Would you take the plunge? Last weekend we took our PBs for PBs initiative to an icy new level. We handed out Peanut Butter to people brave enough to submerge in an ice bath and smash their Personal Bests. Thanks to Phil Cui, founder of Icemunity for getting behind the idea. Ice baths are a way to connect with one another and connect with yourself. Icemunity leads you on a breath, sound & cold journey that will push your limits and leave you feeling alive and revitalized. How have you taken the plunge recently? (Metaphorically or in physically). We want to hear about it.
