A couple of days ago we received this story from a lady going through domestic who has received support from National Collective of Independent Women's Refuges here in NZ. "I knew that things were not good. I wanted to leave for a long time, but it felt impossible. One night I just couldn’t take it anymore. The yelling and always feeling like I had done something wrong, it was always my fault…so I took the kids and left. I was so scared but with the support of Women’s Refuge I was able to start again and not live on the edge all the time.
