To our former and new followers, We're reaching out to inform you about an important update regarding our presence on LinkedIn. As you may have noticed, our previous LinkedIn company page, YOA Yacht Crew, has been deactivated. We want to provide you with some context and clarity regarding this matter. LinkedIn recently took action to deactivate our page due to violations of their policies regarding discrimination in job posts based on protected characteristics. While we understand the importance of adhering to LinkedIn's policies, we want to assure you that our intentions were never to discriminate but rather to uphold legal obligations within the maritime industry. Our gender requests in job posts were aimed at ensuring the safety and comfort of all crew members, in compliance with international maritime law regulations such as the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC). However, we recognize that LinkedIn's policies take precedence, and we are committed to modifying our practices to align with these policies while continuing to uphold industry regulations. Unfortunately, despite our efforts to appeal the decision and clarify our position, LinkedIn has not reactivated our page. As a result, we have made the decision to start a new company page from scratch. We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your support and loyalty. Your engagement and participation have been invaluable to us, and we hope to continue our relationship with you on our new LinkedIn page. Moving forward, we remain dedicated to providing you with valuable insights, job opportunities, and industry updates. We invite you to join us on our new journey by following our new LinkedIn page [https://lnkd.in/g8F_-vuS]. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support. We look forward to reconnecting with you on our new LinkedIn page.
