3D2N Trip to a Traditional Chinese Resort Near Wuhan

Last New Year’s Day, we went to Tongguan Kiln Ancient Town and spent a very happy 3 days and 2 nights there. It takes about 3 hours to get there from Wuhan, so I recommend staying for 2 nights. There are homestays inside the scenic area and hotels outside. The tickets include unlimited entry and exit, which is very family-friendly. If your kids get tired, you can go back to the hotel to rest and then continue playing. Staying inside the scenic area means you can rest whenever you want and avoid the crowds. Before 2 pm and after 9 pm, the whole town is very chill. 🏨 The hotels run by the scenic area are all outside the main gate, such as Ruijing, Lijing, and Green Valley. These are all high-star hotels with great service and facilities. However, the main gate closes after 9 pm, so if you want to go out for a walk after your kids fall asleep, you can choose a homestay inside the scenic area. 🗺️ The whole Tongguan Kiln is circular. In addition to a main road for sightseeing cars, there are many small alleys. The lively and the quiet are often just a street apart. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and still didn’t manage to see the whole scenic area. In addition to all-day performances, there are huge museums and many historical sites. Of course, there are also amusement facilities. Whether you like lively or quiet places, there are many options here, and they won’t disturb each other. 🥢 There are many snack bars and drink shops in Tongguan Kiln, as well as several large self-operated restaurants. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, the portions are large, and the service is good. If you go on weekends or holidays, try to avoid peak times. During the day, you can stroll among the small bridges and flowing water and feel the passage of time. At night, you can watch intangible cultural heritage performances and fireworks. You won’t be bored all day, and the whole family can have fun. The food and accommodation are good, and the overall cost is not high. It’s a great value option for a nearby trip! 👍
