A relaxing and fun day trip to Tongguan Ancient Town

10:00am Tongguan Kiln Museum $40/person, free parking The museum vividly displays the pottery-making process, and many exquisite ceramics unearthed from the Tongguan Kiln site are on display. The ceramics are engraved with poems, which is a unique romance of Hunan people. Within 500m, there are also the Chenjiaping Site and the Tanjiaopo Site Museum, where you can visit the two kiln sites for free. 12:00pm Lunch Recommended by a local friend, we had lunch at a famous local farmhouse. 1:30pm Tongguan Street This is an ancient town street, with mostly ceramic-related shops. The street is full of culture. We walked into a shop where a ceramic teacher was teaching children how to make pottery. We were so interested that we tried it ourselves. With the teacher's guidance, we were very satisfied with our work, and it will be mailed to us after firing. 3:00pm Tianchong Hunan Grand Theater The theater is outside Tongguan Kiln Park, and you can buy a separate ticket or a combo ticket with the park. The "Tianchong Hunan" show lasts 90 minutes, telling the story of Hunan and the people living on this land from ancient to modern times through singing, dancing, acrobatics, and other forms of performance. The show is rich in content and wonderful in performance, and is well worth seeing! 4:30pm Tongguan Kiln Ancient Town National Style Park We entered the park and had dinner while waiting for the evening show. 8:30pm The Fireworks Tongguan and Iron Flower show was amazing. Then at 8:50pm, the Midsummer Fireworks show was very exciting to watch up close. There were also lanterns, acrobatics, cartoon shows, and other performances in the park.
