Five Meals a Day at the Ritz-Carlton We celebrated our 10th anniversary at the Ritz-Carlton Nanjing. A few days before check-in, we received an email and a phone call asking about the details of our stay. When they found out it was our anniversary, they decorated our room a little and prepared a welcome card. The hotel is well decorated and the service is good. First meal: Afternoon tea. It was okay. Two layers of desserts and two layers of savory food. The desserts were a little greasy. Second meal: Dinner. It was a buffet. The main course was steak, and there was some sashimi, cold dishes, hot dishes, and desserts. There weren't many options, but they were all quite delicate. The most recommended dishes were the 5J ham and toast ice cream. Third meal: Evening dessert. White fungus soup with various fruit desserts. It was the most ordinary meal. You can skip it if you don't want to move. Fourth meal: Breakfast. Various pastries and fruits. You can order rice noodles and pasta, and there are some cold dishes and hot dishes. It was quite ordinary and not very special. Fifth meal: Lunch. It was similar to the previous meals, just with different side dishes and main courses. We were a little tired of it after five meals, haha. Overall, the schedule was very full. It felt like we had to prepare for the next meal right after finishing one. It was fresh at first, but then it felt a little repetitive. The fruit, desserts, sashimi, and other things were always the same. The executive benefits cost an extra CNY 1,000 on top of the room rate, which was quite a bargain for two people.
