Qingdao Hyatt Regency is similar to Fuzhou Hyatt Regency, which gave me a unique experience. 1. Unexpected sea view surprise I didn't notice that this was a sea view hotel when I booked it, after all, there is only one Hyatt in Qingdao. However, the hotel is located on the famous Shilaoren Beach, which is really surprising. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the room offer a stunning sea view, and the open-air terrace in the lounge on the 22nd floor is a great place to relax and enjoy the view, making me feel like I'm on vacation during my business trip. 2. Convenient location The location is convenient. Although the hotel is about 1 hour's drive from Qingdao Airport, it is only about 10 km from the main city center, and there is a subway station downstairs, so you can travel without worry. 3. Rich facilities The junior suite is spacious, although the room is a bit old and the layout is like a maze, but it is also unique. The complimentary Qingdao beer is very local and impressive. 4. Areas for improvement There is room for improvement in member services. The hotel did not offer a suite upgrade, even though there were available rooms. The hotel is very busy and a bit crowded. The breakfast quality needs to be improved. The executive lounge has a beautiful view overlooking the beach, but the twin room only includes breakfast and executive benefits for one person. If you add extra, breakfast is CNY 100, and executive benefits are divided into two parts, all-day drinks and snacks are CNY 128 (only fruit and cookies), and happy hour is CNY 198. The happy hour dishes are simple, only fried rice, fried noodles, vegetables, braised shrimp, etc., which are slightly inferior to other hotels. Fortunately, CNY 198 was not charged in the end. I didn't get a welcome fruit this time, so this service needs to be improved. Overall, this hotel is worth staying at if you can get a room upgrade. Even if you are on a business trip, you can still walk on the beach downstairs, listen to the sea breeze, and enjoy a relaxing time.
