Shanghai! A budget hotel worth a second visit!! So nice to stay in!!

Shanghai JW Marriott Marquis Hotel: Great value experience 1. Room arrangement Although it was difficult to upgrade to a suite, I gave up. However, the basic room was successfully upgraded to an executive river view room, and the hotel provided a late check-out until 4 pm, which undoubtedly added more convenience and comfort to the stay. 2. Location The hotel is relatively inconveniently located, about 1 km from the nearest Tangqiao subway station, but it is much more convenient to take a taxi or drive. 3. Thoughtful service The hotel's service was excellent overall. There was an email communication and coordination before check-in, and when I arrived, there was a service staff at the door who enthusiastically opened the car door and helped with the luggage. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. There was also a thoughtful turndown service at night, which made me feel very warm. 4. Room features The room I stayed in was on the 39th floor, with a great river view and a view of the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower. The room layout was neat and reasonable, in line with the needs and style of business travel. The bedding was of high quality and had a pleasant fragrance. The bathtub was placed in the center of the room, providing a romantic bathing environment for couples. The hairdryer was Dyson, which showed quality. The room was 46 square meters in size, which was perfect for taking photos while enjoying the river view. 5. Dining experience The executive lounge offers breakfast, afternoon tea, and happy hour. Although the platinum card can only be used for breakfast in the lounge and not in the breakfast room, the afternoon tea in the lounge is of excellent quality, with hot scones (which are rare) and a wide variety of desserts. The happy hour dishes are simple, but the beef tacos and roast chicken are delicious, and the roast chicken is especially popular and memorable. Breakfast is served in the lounge, and although the selection is relatively limited, there is a dedicated area for egg dishes (such as eggs benedict) and noodles and dumplings, which are enough to satisfy your hunger. 6. Fitness facilities Unfortunately, the pool was closed for maintenance, which was a bit of a disappointment. However, the gym was well-equipped, and you could enjoy the river view while working out, which added a lot of fun to the fitness time. 7. Overall rating Overall, I give it a 4.5-star rating, with 0.3 stars deducted for the less-than-ideal location and 0.2 stars for the pool being closed and not being able to eat in the breakfast room downstairs. But considering the price of only RMB 140, the experience was far beyond expectations, and it is unlikely that such a good price will be available in the future. It was indeed an unforgettable and cost-effective hotel stay.
